Just what you wanted - a cabin that is close to Colorado Springs but in the Mountains. This cabin is located maybe 6-7 miles West of Colorado Springs. Close to the Airforce Academy, Garden of the Gods, Cave of the Winds, Pikes Peak Hwy and Cogg Train, and just down the road from Santa's Village. But definitely in the mountains. Nice secluded cabin looking down on Ute Pass and at the base of PIkes Peak. Very cozy cabin.

Outdoor Fireplace. Cascade is just a neat little mountain town at the base of Pikes Peak.

Perfect Location: This cabin is nice and secluded, nestled up on top of the hill, looking down the Pass and taking in glorious views of Pikes Peak through the large pictures windows. Minutes from all the tourist attractions that the Pikes Peak Region has to offer. Quaint little mountain town. Lots of wildlife including Bear - thus the cabins name 'Bear Mountain Retreat'. Come enjoy the peace and quiet! Check out the wonderful hiking trails and falls in the neighboring town of Green Mountain Falls, in addition to the trails right near the cabin.

If you are looking for a cozy, comfy, inviting, and perfect place to stay during your visit to the Colorado Springs area, this is it! The owner's description is very accurate, furnishings all in wonderful condition, very clean and well-maintained, and all on one level, including laundry. The house is located at the end of a short street with neighbors close by; however, it was secluded because the trees and mountainside afforded excellent privacy. The customer service we received from Avonlea prior to arriving was very timely, courteous, and accommodating. They provided a pack-n-play and highchair per our inquiry.

We would definitely recommend this property to our friends, relatives, and anyone else. We were hoping to see more wildlife during our three-night stay but only saw one fox.

Wonderful mountain home!

We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home sitting near the top of a mountain!. The cabin was better than advertised. Obviously someone has put a lot of time and thought into the decorations. The cabin was immaculately clean and very well stocked. We didn't do any cooking, but very easily could have. Great showers, comfy beds, just wish we'd had more time to spend there! We would definitely highly recommend Bear Mountain Cabin, although, unfortunately we didn't see any wildlife. However, the motion lights kept coming on outside.
We visited Garden of the Gods, Pike's Peak cog railway, Air Force Academy, US Olympic Training Center, and Manitou Cliff Dwellings. All really enjoyable!
Restaurants we'd recommend: Wines of Colorado (at the foot of the mountain) and The Egg and I,(Colorado Springs, Academy Drive).
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

Great Location for visiting sites, very clean and pretty views. The home has small rooms with lots of furniture in them. There is a bunch of nick-knacks all over the home. Not kid friendly.

We took our grandmother to Colorado and stayed here. It was a perfect place to hang out after sightseeing all day. Much more comfortable than a motel! The house was very clean and well decorated. The only thing I would suggest would be that they put fans in every room. They do not have air condition and it was a little warm for us at night. Our favorite sights nearby were the cog train to Pike's Peak and the Garden of the Gods. Highly recommend staying here!
