Situated high on the bluffs of Manomet Beach, our Oceanfront home offers spectacular views of Cape Cod Bay and private beach access. Wake to amazing sunrises, gaze upon magnificent moon rises, and fall asleep to the sounds of the surf. Entertain on our fabulous 40 x 60 foot deck. Enjoy walking, jogging, swimming, and sun bathing on your private beach. Located just 15 minutes from downtown Plymouth - enjoy the historic sites, great restaurants, and shopping. There are also boats available for harbor tours, whale watching, and day trips to Provincetown. There are several major golf courses minutes away. Do everything or nothing at all!
This is a really great house - cozy and comfortable with every amenity and on a spectacular site. The picture of the deck is very accurate. We spent a lot of time cooking out there and going down the steps to the beach. The house is deceptively spacious, with the three levels and two living rooms great for teens to have their own space. The kitchen is super well equipped - we entertained while we were there and it was really easy. Good supermarket and restaurants nearby at Manomet and also Plymouth, where we did the Mayflower, the Rock and the Plantation. There was a small plumbing problem just before the end of our stay and Wendy sent around a very efficient and courteous plumber who had it sorted in no time. All in all a fabulous first visit to Cape Cod and we will definitely be back. Orlaith, Ireland
I'll start inside and work my way out... This isn't a "cottage", this is a home that is stocked like a hotel. You really only need to come with your clothes, burgers, and beers. There are 3 nice bedrooms with at least full size beds and then a beautiful loft like bedroom with a wall of windows that face the water... Best thing to wake up to. There are TWO den/living rooms... One with a bar and TV, the other great for 80's trivial pursuit night! The kitchen is new and gorgeous. Tons of room at the island for everyone to sit if you for some crazy reason don't want to go enjoy your meal one the HUGE deck. My niece called it the backyard. There is plenty of seating, lounge chairs, umbrellas, outdoor shower, a grill, and still plenty of room to set up bean bag toss and a baby pool. The private steps to the private beach have a chest filled with beach chairs. You really don't have to worry about anything, it's all there for you. The cherry on top is going to a beach in July and not have to wake up at 5am to get a parking spot AND to not have someone come set there family of 6 and an umbrella right in front of you. It was so peaceful! Next summer I want 2 weeks, it was hard to leave!
I stayed here before the kitchen renovation, and I STILL would have given it 5 stars! I was there with family and my two elementary-age boys, then just girlfriends, and it was all any of us could have wished for. The property is just wonderful, beds are comfortable, everything you could possibly need, convenient to all things, up and down the coast, the neighbors are even nice! But, the thing that sets this property apart, and it's something that can't be bought, is the owner. Steve is just tremendous. We had issues with our booking dates = he was great. We had issues with a mysterious smell [which I suspect were those now-extinct kitchen cabinets :-) ] = he was great. We had issues with one boy knocking the other boy over and taking a closet door off it's rail! ... You guessed it; Steve was just great. See the stairs as an exercise/excuse to eat more cheese. Oh, and we all highly recommend the little place he recommended, Rye Tavern. My mom is FROM Plymouth, we've come back for years, and this charming, out-of-the-way restaurant had the most amazing version of clam chowder I have ever had. Seriously. Meanwhile, though, we are still on a search for the lobster rolls I remember from childhood. I think they've gotten too "good" with all that lump meat. I want more mayo! lol! Anyway, trust me, unless you have health concerns with regards to the stairs, have no other hesitations. Rent this place. [And thanks, again, for everything, Steve.]
My family and I went to the beach house last week. We have a 7 and 9 year old. Beach house had a lot of room and can easily sleep 8-10 people having 3 levels. The house is right on the beach so it is only flight of stairs away. The downstairs level of the beach house has a nice size kitchen with a family room close by which was great for the kids. The house was also close to Plymouth where we saw a lot of attractions such as Plymouth rock, Plymouth Plantation, Mayflower 2 etc. In Plymouth I took 1 of my kids deep sea fishing where we each caught a shark. There are also boats there for whale watches although we chose to do a Pirate Cruise with the kids which they enjoyed. The location is also about 45 minutes or so from Boston so 1 day was spent going to the Boston Aquarium which was great. Location is also north of Cape Cod. There were also a lot of great local restaurants. In short, I would highly recommend the beach house.
We had a wonderful week at the beach house. The views from both decks were amazing. We spent many nights out on the deck listening to the ocean, and having cocktails.
We had 6 Adults, and 3 children and the home provided more then enough space the few times it rained we didn't feel as though we were on top of each other.
The house was in beautiful condition and everything was just where the owner said it would be. There were more then enough beach towels and bath towels which was great.
We did a lot of cooking and grilling and both the kitchen and grill where wonderful.
The location was great. A few of us played golf, while others enjoyed the beach. We also took a trip up to Boston one day and down to the cape another day.
It is easy to get to grocery stores, as well as the "package store" (being from NY we didn't realize that beer can not be purchased at the grocery store)
We had an amazing week, and would highly recommend this house to anyone. The owner was also wonderful to work with, he was quick to respond to any questions we had, and responded with a quick turn-around!
We stayed at this magnificent property last year and our family had an amazing time. The ocean views from the very large, private deck were breathtaking and the house was very comfortable.
Six miles north of the Cape Cod Canal and six miles from Historic Plymouth Harbor. Enjoy Cape Cod's beautiful beach's, without the traffic of the Cape. Downtown Boston is less than 1 hour away. Plymouth Plantation, Pilgrim Museums, and the replica of the Mayflower are minutes away.
