The house is located on Capitol Hill, in North Burnaby. It has a westerly facing view: downtown. To the North is Grouse and other Coastal Mountains. Out the windows in the south lies Mount Baker and to the east the rest of Canada.
The neighborhood is reasonably quiet and reasonable noise levels are more limited than if you stayed downtown. The house is close to downtown by car or on the 135 bus. It is located three blocks uphill from Hastings Street (which runs through to the waterfront)on Springer Avenue. The closest skytrain stations are the Holdem and Brentwood stations.
The house is equipped with dishes and linens for 12. And 2 per room. There are 4 bedrooms: the master bedroom has a king sized bed-with en suite and walk-in-closet; there are 2 bedrooms with queen sized beds (one up and one down), there is a bedroom with 2 bunks and there are two sofa beds (one on each floor). The top floor has 2 full bathrooms. The middle floor has a powder; the main floor is has the living room, dining room and kitchen. As well as the queen bed sized bedroom, there is the laundry and one sofa bed on the lower floor. It is clean, simply furnished and cozy.There is a back porch and a small front porch.
It is close to all parts of the Greater Vancouver
Regional District (GVRD) and the view is spectacular

A great place to stay. A touch of home and family away from home. We went with our family, there was more than enough space for everyone plus enough space to for just the two of us. The rooms are clean and furnish with great furniture. The view from the balcony is amazing, you can relax after the whole day of roaming the tourist spot. We cooked our breakfast and supper. Big dining table to accommodate our big family of 11 including a toddler that can run around with the spacious house. I will highly recommend this vacation house. The location is great enough to be away from crowd and close enough to all the attractions.
The accommodations at this location were perfect! The house was awesome with three floors we had lots of room to hang out. The sky train was a short taxi ride away with the house being on a mountain I am not sure I would want to walk. The manager lived next door so if we needed anything she was available this being said she left us alone to enjoy our weekend. A couple of things I would recommend would be to provide large garbage bags and maybe have a few more rolls of toilet paper in the bathrooms. Other then that I would stay in this location again
This house was perfect for our families who were gathering from Canada and USA for a relative's wedding. We wanted to spend family time together during our visit, rather than staying in 4 separate hotel rooms. This house was spacious, clean, and had everything that we needed. The view from the 2nd floor balcony is spectacular. The owner was very helpful, and a pleasure to deal with. We really felt like this was home for one week.
It was a great house but for there are no dark curtins in the bed rooms so we were up early every morning cuz of the light. Lovely owner and ideal location. We had a lot of fun there
Plenty of room for family of 10. Accommodations are as described. Comfortable and felt at home.
The view is beautiful - morning and night! Enjoyed it every morning with a cup of coffee.
Location is great - easy to get to and close to Vancouver. Quiet neighbourhood, so good for family with kids. Felt the area to be safe.
Owner is very friendly and helpful, and she gives you your privacy.

The rental itself was exactly what we were looking for, the neighbors were wonderful, from helping us out with parking to lending us a iron when the one with the house didn't work. If you are looking for a place for a large group to sleep, this is the place. If you are looking for a home that you would treat as your own, be prepared to deal with the unprofessional owner who lives next door.
