Attached to the chalet is a lovely 2 bedroom apartment suite... the perfect cozy lodging for the perfect vacation getaway. This 2 bedroom suite, which can sleep 6 and is pet friendly features a full kitchen, full bath and deck for your enjoyment. Located in a secluded private lot just a stones throw away from the ski resort and scenic and historic Mohawk Trail, yet easily accessible to many activities and attractions, you can come and experience what all the beautiful Berkshire seasons have to offer. Enjoy winter skiing and boarding, snowmobiling, snow-shoeing, cross country skiing, summer rafting, zip line-rides, fishing, hiking, leaf-peeping , antiquing , sight-seeing and much more in and around this scenic region. We spent several weeks in this wonderful little chalet, and could not have been happier with our choice of rental! From the moment we arrived we were welcomed by the lovely owners. They made every possible accommodation for us during our stay, and we immediately felt at home. The property itself is beautiful. The long driveway gives you the feeling of being away from it all, yet the wonderful amenities (wifi, home phone service) keep you connected with the outside world. The property is in excellent condition, and is beautifully decorated. The chalet is incredibly spacious and has a huge outdoor deck. The proximity to the ski resort cannot be beat! It is maybe a 2 minute walk from the property. We stayed during the summer months, but there were still great activities to be had near by - white water rafting, zip-lining and many more.

All in all, we could not have been happier with our choice of vacation destination- absolutely perfect!

This home. was perfect for our needs.

We rented this sweet apartment for a month to ski and do family events. We have both dogs and cats. This place was a perfect spot for us. So close to the Berkshire East Ski Area that we could have walked from there to home for lunch or to let the dogs out. There were a few minor issues that the owners fixed immediatley.
The photos on this website do not do the apartment justice. It is much nicer than the pictures show.
It is private, but close enough to the little town to get supplies. Plenty of place for our dogs to get some exercise without getting into too much trouble. Surprisingly, there are some wonderful restaurants in the town of Shelburne Falls, about 7 miles away.
If you are planning a long stay, there is a laundromat a few miles away.The owners use the rest of the property every other weekend, so it truly is very private, but they will take care of the trash and fix any issues you might have.
Would we rent this place again? Absolutely. We took a chance and were very happy. The owners took a chance on us because we have multiple pets, and promptly returned our deposit.

Ben and his family did all the could do to make us comfortable and feel at home at our home away from home. The apartment was very clean and nicely decorated. It was very close to Bershire East ski area and my entire family had a great time. We will be back!

Ideal for Mohawk Trail

We stayed at this apartment for a couple of nights this August. While Charlemont is clearly known for its skiing (and tubing in summer), we found the apartment a great place to stay as we explored the Mohawk Trail. The place is quiet, private, and modern. We would recommend staying here.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Adventure Seekers, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway
