This very special post and beam saltbox is located on a quiet country road, on 16+ acres. The main floor has a nice open feeling with kitchen/dining and living room and soap stone woodstove at the far side, French doors opening to the wrap around deck with seating bench, wood floors, breakfast bar, tiled backsplash, exposed beams and vaulted ceiling. A mudroom/laundry entry with handicapped shower also leads to the attached garage. There is a bedroom and bath on this floor as well. The open staircase leads up to two additional bedrooms, a full bath and walk-in closet. Lovely views and light. The full basement is walk-out with French doors and finished playroom space. The land has open yard space, garden space, perennials, a small pond, and woods for hiking, skiing and playing.

Historic Area: Cherry Valley Museum, Cooperstown, Near Howe Cavern
We loved this house and the location. Cherry Valley is the perfect location for visiting Sharon Springs, 10 minutes away and Cooperstown, 20 minutes away yet so private and rural feeling. The home is clean and the pictures are accurate. The woodwork in the home is wonderful and plenty of room for everyone. The weather did not permit use of the fireplace, which I was hoping to do, but can only imagine it would add to the coziness of the living room. The grounds are amazing for exploring, and picking apples from the trees. Had everything you need to cook a meal for nights you just want to stay in. The tv is small and there is no internet, but we found that we didnt end up watching tv for more than the weather report and our iPhone's sufficed for internet because we were too busy exploring the area. Suzanne was so nice to work with and she responded quickly when we had questions. We would recommend this house if you are visiting the area!
Close to Cooperstown and Cherry Valley. Glimmerglass Opera, Dream Park, Otsego Lake are all close. Famous singers have stayed at this house so it is near to the Opera. Cooperstown has the Baseball Hall of Fame and the New York State Historical Society. Cherry Valley, famous for the Cherry Valley Massacre, has a historical cemetery and museum. Local artists and antiquing. Great scenery and great fall foliage. Handicap accessible.
