Family Friendly: The Round House is the perfect destination for a fun filled family vacation. Warning...the kids won't want to leave!
Comfortable & Convenient: The Round House, a unique, cozy and attractive year-round vacation home nestled in picturesque Camden, Maine. The Round House is truly a round house. From the living room, beautiful panoramic views of the mountains can be enjoyed. Warm and inviting, the nautical decor captures that Maine charm.
The Round House is fully furnished with all the comforts of home and is conveniently located just one mile from Camden Harbor, and a stones throw away from Shirttail Point Park. Close to restaurants, shops, golf, sailing, skiing, and of course, the mountains and the sea.
We stayed at this house (2 couples) for 2 nights in May. It is perfectly decorated and comfortable. We enjoyed the large deck and spent a lot of time on it. The yard is very big and goes down to the river, with a small private dock. The owner was extremely easy to work with and very helpful. She even came by when we couldn't get the TV to work (something we were doing wrong). It has a well stocked kitchen. She has brochures and info about the town and surrounding area. It was extremely clean and had a small gas stove which kept us warm enough. The stairs to the basement and 2nd bedroom are very steep, so make sure you are OK with that. There is a second full bath down there.
We drove to town. It is a bit far to walk. This is the perfect house to stay in to explore the whole area.
My husband and I stayed for 5 days at this charming and very clean round house. The house was exactly as described and pictured. The house had everything we needed for a great vacation. Every morning we had coffee on the deck over looking the lake, and every night we finish the day on the private dock with a nice glass of wine. Several days we kayaked around the lake and enjoyed the changing fall leaves.
The kitchen had everything we needed to cook many of our meals, the bed was comfortable and the great room was very warm and cozy with a nice gas "wood" stove.
Camden and Rockland are wonderful little towns full of fun shops, bars and restaurants. My favorite shop was Seagull Cottage in Rockland.
We went to see many of the Lighthouses in the area and drove the Baxter State Park to see the Fall colors.
I highly recommend for a relaxing vacation stay at the Round House in Camden, Maine.
Hi there! I just got done booking my week at the Round House for the second year in a row and I'll be counting down the days until June!!
Last year we had the best time fishing, swimming and kayaking at the lake that is basically in the back yard of this rental! What a beautiful location with the mountains and lake!! The house is SO comfortable and clean! My husband and I loved that the kids had their own floor with their own bathroom! We had lots of alone time after the kids went to bed and fell in love with the beautiful, sweet Maine night air! The deck is so big and we spent most nights outside drinking wine and listening to the loons on the lake. We are very lucky to have secured the dates we wanted in june because I could never go back to hotels after experiencing the Round house!
Ps. I never really liked rental houses because some of the ones I've stayed in have been poorly decorated and a bit dirty! The Round house is spotless and decorated like Martha Stewart would decorate!! Who does your decorating anyway?
See you in June!
