This is an Old Fashion Beach House..a townhouse by itself that has two bedrooms and a combination added over 25 years ago of two lovely efficiency suites that can be added for the most privacy of families traveling together. The main town house 2 bdr 1500 sq ft townhouse across the street from the beach / separate fenced yard / hot tub u can cool/ this is lived in when Captain is at sea. $1400 a week by itself.This house has an an option for an addition of an attached bottom floor apartment mother in law for sleeping 4 more( 1bdr ( a double bed )and a fold out sofa) add $700.00 This efficiency is separated from main house with fence it has kitchen with deck and grill .Then there is also a master suite with queen bed (pictured in blue) a kitchen and den it is a Hilton Garden Suite attached by a long hallway that is locked when not rented add $700. It has a large deck 23 x 10 on back .of each unit .Look at #344990 for what the house in total looks like. .These homes were built by an Italian group in 1948 . The ocean can be heard from the house.The location is great because it takes you off Palm Blvd., the main busy street but you still have access to the beach with in 1/2 blk to two accesses of ocean across the street. This is cul-du-sac so no traffic there and all residential neighbors, so please respect them. The house is located between 29th and 30th -- a short beach walk to downtown IOP and walking distance to Morgan's Creek Marina..where Bill Murray owner of the baseball group hangs out..both areas have restaurants, grocery stores shopping areas entertainment 7 nights a week..
It is built in town house fashion so it provides a lot of privacy for bedrooms upstairs where others cannot be heard downstairs. There is an excellent closed in porch that you can open up with lots of windows that can add heat/cool space. There is a six foot formal white fence around the house for privacy an allowing pets a large space to roam.... I have 20 ft bamboo that provides privacy and home for the many birds around the efficiencies. This house I love out of the twelve I remodeled after Hugo.There is a recreational complex free for all a few blocks behind that has an indoor and outdoor basketball court.. With in-door ping pong , workout facilities and yoga. Call the Isle of Palms Rec Center..its all free. The hot tub is great and It's secluded.. It is also a mineral spa not chlorine. ...please shower before you use to remove oils and absorb minerals for full benefit. Please feed the 40 species of birds with seed the Captain leaves .

You're together but each family has efficiency and can come to the main house..Can't find anything better than privacy in one main house completely separate suites ..extra

I Love this Island because of 40 ft building limit outside of Wild Dunes. There are few people on the beach. It is friendly as Mayberry by the sea. Everyone knows each other and the police department is very helpful. It was voted one of the best beaches in US. It is family oriented .Also it was voted best shopping- the best shopping is across the connector at town center. Everything you need in big outdoor beautiful mall. The theatre is the best I have ever been in. Then you also have Charleston downtown shopping,live theatre , and unique art galleries up and down Broad street.It is wonderful to stay on the beach and visit downtown Charleston.
What makes this house unique
Right across from the beach but off the main road Palm Blvd that is noisy and dangerous for children an pets. This house is private in it's extremely peaceful and very private in a residential neighborhood that has a Isle of Palms recreational area 2 blks behind the home. This beautiful southern home has new white 6 ft privacy fence and moss covered oak in back. It has a wonderful chemical free mineral hot tub,hammock and outdoor patio. The porch on the home itself can be air conditioned it has huge clear windows that open and close along with Ac vents an unit....The main house (1)is like a town house with a porch 2 bedrooms upstairs an downstairs kitchen that seats 6 at table an 4 at bar downstairs with the living room and porch all about 1500 sq ft. ($2100 in summer)There was an added on addition to home before Hugo that contains optional two additional efficiency apartments. This makes for the best way ever to travel with other families..You can have separate efficiences to stay with young families or one efficiency was built for parents that can't climb stairs on ground floor.(2)extra $1100 in summer own porches grills an kitchen,livingroom and fenced in yards. So you can just rent the main house with hot tub which is really a townhouse or you can rent one or two of the efficiencies and have everyone in the main house for dinner/breakfast /lunch (or not) each one also has a small breakfast table. So the main townhouse sleeps 4 or if with children the chaise on porch can do for sleeping or a futon under one of the beds upstairs small children can sleep in room. So 4 adults in main house an (2)1 bedroom with fold out sofa in down stairs ground floor sleeps 4(3) an 1 bdrs upstairs for 2 more people..that the Captain stays in winter .Each efficiency is like a Hilton Garden Efficiency . (3) 1 bedroom with luxuary bathroom ,porch, hardwood floors ,dishwasher and leather sofa.( $2100 a wk) honey moon palace up in the bamboo ..totally private

There is landscaped graveled parking area with a new beautiful six foot white fence for total privacy. The beach is 300 feet away with a stretch of 100 feet beach reserved to the credit of the building planning of the Isle of Palms .The flowers in the entrance were a beautiful greeting. This is not a new home but an older home well kept an decorated that is lived in part time by a Captain that appreciates the ocean.The upstairs has one large completely tiled to the ceiling full bath with overhead walk in shower an clawfoot tub.It has an additional large half bath for other bedroom plus a convienient half bath down stairs. The new diing room set with beautiful high back comfortable wooden seating of six is a great place to eat an gather easily. The porch is totally glassed in for casual enjoyment of the beautifully landscaped yard with swing ,hammock an fountain.There are hundreds of birds that nest in the back yard an you can hear them singing in the large oaks.an fun to watch them eat.I give this home a five star rating..
