Great experience

We stayed here for 4 nights with our 3 kids. Great central location, and AC was very useful due to the heat in Rome. Can only recommend this location to anybody visiting Rome in the near future.

Great Location and very close to everything!!

The listing description was accurate in regards to location. We were right up the street from the Coliseum, very close to restaurants, cafes, supermarket, metro stops, Termini station, and 30 mins. from the airport. The owner was helpful and quick to respond to emails, although we never met him. We were greeted by the housekeeper who was very nice. The apartment was clean, but could use a fresh coat of paint and a few minor cosmetic updates. The listing indicates that is 2 bedrooms-however this "large" apartment is split between 2 smaller bedroom apartments-not quite as large as the listing indicates. We had one bedroom and one convertible bed, and one bath-so not quite an accurate listing. The photos do accurately depict the rental's appearance, but make the space appear bigger than what it actually is. I would recommend this apartment because of its excellent location-I hope to return to Rome again!

Exceeded Expectations

5 of 5
Submitted: June 16, 2011 Stayed: May 2011
My husband, our three grown children and I, stayed here in May 2011. We were very optimistic, based on the photos (it was exactly as portrayed), reviews and my correspondence with Tony prior to our trip, but the apartment was even better than we expected. The two adjoining units gave everyone privacy and some room to spread out--for an urban unit it was surprisingly spacious. The apartment was quite clean and was equipped with absolutely everything we could have possibly needed: blow dryer, adapters, snacks, tools, travel books, you name it--NOTHING was overlooked. We loved the breeze through our open windows and the view outside. It should be noted that the back two rooms are much quieter at night if the windows are open. On the street side there is a soft bubbling from a fountain on the street below, so peaceful at the end of a long day touring sites, but drowned out by intermittent traffic noises four stories down. We actually found the city noises soothing as well, but not everyone would. We closed the windows to sleep and it was sufficiently quiet.

The apartment is an easy walk to the Colosseum and we walked easily to the Circus Maximus, Palatine Hill, Capitaline Hill, and Forum, though we are all relatively fit. We used the Colosseo and San Giovanni metro stops, both approximately 3/4 mile away.

The neighborhood feels very, very safe. We came in late many nights and never had any concerns. Googlemaps "street view" does not do it justice. It appears that the pictures were taken when many businesses were closed. There is a lovely cafe next door with delicious panini and gelati, reasonably priced, and the owners were warm and friendly. While many of the restaurants near the Colosseum did appear to cater to tourists with average food, there were a couple gems as well. There are convenience markets on the street for quick stops, and there is a larger grocery a couple of blocks away, around the corner. A post office, ATM and pharmacy are all within two blocks.

Lastly, Tony, his staff and those whom he recommended for services were extremely gracious, helpful and reliable. He helped us line up tours and drivers and their assistance was invaluable. We are grateful to have had such a comfortable refuge during our stay, and we look forward to having the opportunity to return! Special thanks to Irene for her patience with us and for keeping us safe on the crazy streets in Rome!

Excellent Accomodations

We were very satisfied with our accomodations. The description and photos are exactly like the condo. The condo was very clean, neat and well maintained. The owner, Tony, was very accomodating with our needs. He had a driver pick us up at the airport and take us directly to the condo without the hassle of train/metro rides. It is conveniently located near coffee shops, grocer and the historic city of Rome. We enjoyed being so close to San Giovani of Laterno Cathedral, metro stations and dozens of restaurants. I would recommend this condo to anyone who visits Rome.

Our first trip to Rome - We had a marvelous accommodation

From Texas
August 2010
Our family (2 adults, 3 children - all over 18 yrs old) had a very comfortable 3 nights in Toni's apartment. The accommodation was immaculate when we arrived.

Toni's hospitality could not have been better. Toni arranged for transport from the airport (it was less expensive - and much more convenient! - than taking the train from the airport to Termini station and then the metro to the nearest stop, San Giovani). Additionally, Toni connected us with a tour guide for our visit to Vatican City. She was fantastic (do not try to do Vatican without a guide).

We could look out of our windows to a good view of the Coliseum. We were within walking distance to all of the sites we wanted to see in the Ancient part of the city.

We were fortunate to find this location - it helped to make a marvelous first trip to Rome. Within just a few yards was a cafe, and within less than 100 yards was a grocery store (where we could gather provisions to stock the refrigerator). The nearest metro station was just a few minutes walk away, and the route to it took us through the grounds of San Giovanni in Laterano (pictures don't do it justice - it must be seen).

Not that it was terribly hot (again, we're from Texas), but the A/C worked very well (almost too well). I think that this building is being renovated floor-by-floor because everything inside looked brand new.

We highly recommend that you staying in one of Toni's apartments.
