Quaint cottage located on mile marker 100. Key Largo is known as the 'Dive Capital of the World.' John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park has two beaches, and a replica of a shipwreck in the water which is great for snorkeling. We are located only a few blocks from the Marina where you can go fishing, take a glass-bottom boat ride, snorkel, etc.... So, whether you want to hike on surrounding nature trails or swim with the dolphins...it's all here. We have recently added 4 bikes for your convenience. 4 adult bikes.
There are so many shopping areas, bars, restaurants and local attractions near by that you are bound to stay active and busy!
Staying in our quaint cottage provides the feeling of being home with the privacy and space desired while on vacation.

Just got back from a great stay at Roy's cottage. Roy was great to work with, quick to reply to any questions I had. The cottage was very clean when we arrived. It had tons of convenient items already there. The bed was very comfortable. It was great having a "home" to come back to each night after being out. It was very convenient to Publix, Kmart and, a big plus for me, a Starbucks!!!! I would highly recommend staying here. Thanks for everything Roy!! We had a fabulous time!!
This our very first visit to the Keys. If you do not mind being 2 hours away from Key West(we didn't) this is a great location. The cottage was so clean my wife did not want to use the kitchen and make it dirty. We did end up using it of course. In a nutshell if you are looking for a cozy home away from home this is the perfect place. It has all the conveniences of home including a washer and dryer. We weren't sure what the noise level was going to be at night because it is only about 50 yards from HWY 1, but with the windows closed we really heard nothing during the night and I am a light sleeper. We were 100% satisfied and would definitely stay here again without any hesitation.
This is a great little cottage ... In a very convenient location ... Absolutely spotless on arrival ... It has everything you could need ... Roy was great to deal with, made it a very positive experience ... My husband I did not want to eat out every night, so the barbecue was a great asset, the kitchen has everything you need ... We found the neighbours very friendly and if we may offer a good place to eat, Sharkey's on the canal only a block and half away, has a really nice location with great food and the Conch House only a street away does a great breakfast ... Yes we would stay here again
I stayed in this home with two friends (our ages are 25, 25, and 29). We were welcomed by Amelia, who told us how everything in the house worked, and showed us a book of brochers for restaurants. The home looked and smelled very clean. We were delighted to see that there was a chest full of board games, and also 6 or 7 bikes. There was a queen sized bed, a futon, and an air mattress. The kitchen was quaint and had all of our cooking needs. The home is located right off of US 1, which is the main road to get anywhere in the Keys. We swam with dolphins at Dolphin Cove, and snorkeled with Quiescence (who took us by boat to some reefs in John Pennekamp Park). Both of these places were just five minutes up the road. We also took a bike ride, and played board games and cooked on the days we wanted to relax. Roy called us to check in on how we were doing, and gave us many suggestions for where to eat out, and which places to avoid. We chose to drive to Key West one day, and returned to the cottage that night. (that's all the time we really needed in Key West, and we avoided staying in an overpriced hotel). Key largo is great for snorkeling and has many beautiful fish on its reefs (you really need to try snorkleing if you come here!), and if you want to go to more of “picture pretty” beach, you can drive down to Annes Beach or Key West. Roy always returned my calls and emails promptly which made me feel comfortable. All in all we had a great stay!
Had a great stay here. One of the CLEANEST places I've ever stayed. The owner is wonderful. He stayed in touch, personally made sure we had everything we needed and even guided us to his favorite local restaurant when we arrived! Small but everything you need to be comfortable. Including an outdoor grill, equipped kitchen and even a washer/dryer! The wifi worked great. There is a little traffic noise in the morning but not at night. It didn't bother us (and I'm a light sleeper) and we both slept in very well. You will need a car to visit beaches etc but there are some local bars and coffee shops within walking distance. I would definitely stay here again.
Very clean, well maintained and good value for money. Pleasantly met upon arrival for overview of property and a couple helpful pointers about the local area. Property is a great home base to explore Keys with plenty of restaurants and activities within a couple miles. Owner has a few bikes to ride to the park or grocery store.
Property offers a nice kitchen stocked with dishes, pots/pans and utensils. However, we did not take full advantage of it. It was too easy to eat at the wide choices of restaurants.
We felt one issue is the traffic noise out the back of the house and a little annoying while trying to sleep. However, this should not be a show stopper and recommend the property for a no frills budget traveler. Owner was excellent to work with in planning stages.
It is 2 short blocks to the Marina where you can escape on a fishing charter or experience the key's best scuba diving and sightseeing adventures. It is also conveniently close to Publix, Kmart, BlockBuster, clubs, restaurants and many other recreational venues like John Pennekamp State Park. The world famous 'Holiday Isle' is just 17 miles south in Islamorada and Key West is a scenic 100 miles south.
Other Activities: shopping, kayaking, boating, parasailing, shelling, wildlife viewing, spa, racquetball, basketball
