I picked up my two girls from college in Tallahassee and headed for St. George Island. We enjoyed staying at the Captains Lounge. The location is centrally located to shops, beach and all that the island has to offer. It is very homey and the decor is cute. We brought our two beagle dogs who loved the beach and we enjoyed watching how excited they got playing in the sand. They have lots of games and puzzles which provided great family fun. We kayaked and rode horses on the beach not far from St. George. The owners were very nice and very attentive to anything that might have come up. I look forward to staying there again. Thank you Captains Lounge for providing great family memories.

Our stay at the Captains Lounge was amazing! Everyone got exactly what they wanted. Some spent their days at the beach while others went to the bridge to catch dinner. Captains Lounge is a relaxing home base! We spent time cooking and enjoying family!! St. George Island is going to be our family vacation destination from now on!!

We had a wonderful time and the Captains Lounge was great. Clean, spacious and very accomdating for our party of 8 and our 2 dogs. Nice deck and had a beautiful view of the bay!.

Great house, beautiful views, wonderful stay

This is the 2nd time we have stayed at Captain's Lounge. We love St. George Island for a quiet family vacation, and Captain's Lounge is perfect for us.

This house is a large three bedroom with a beautiful, modern open kitchen-living room-sun porch layout. Two large bedrooms are on the 1st floor - one with an en-suite bath, the other with a walkout porch and a bath next door. The third bedroom is an open loft that overlooks the 2nd floor living area.

Captain's Lounge is well-appointed, clean, and beautifully decorated. The owners couldn't be more accommodating. And SGI is the perfect vacation for beach lovers.

The Perfect Getaway!

I am a bargain shopper and this house was the best deal on the island as far as pet friendly rental properties go. The house was clean and very comfortable! The property owners were very accommodating for our three large breed dogs. The back yard is fenced in, which is perfect for the fur-babies. The upstairs porch is screened in and gorgeous. We had our morning coffee out there every day. We were able to purchase local caught, fresh seafood and cook dinner in the fully equipped kitchen. Most importantly, the house is a very easy two block walk to the BEAUTIFUL beaches! We were also able to walk to the local stores and two FANTASTIC restaurants. We had a WONDERFUL time! All the beaches and restaurants are PET FRIENDLY! Our four legged kids spent every day on the beach and were even able to join us for dinner a couple of times! It was the PERFECT vacation! We will definitely be returning to the Captain’s Lounge!
