Perfect Family Vacation Spot

The Captain's Lounge was a great place for our family vacation. It's clean, decorated well, and offers a family-friendly layout - master on the second floor, main room on the third, and kids' sleeping loft at the top. It is conveniently located to the Island's restaurants and shops, and just a couple of blocks from the beach. Check out Eddie Teach's Raw Bar and the Black Marlin - great places to end the day.

Very Relaxing Stay

We loved relaxing in the dual recliners as the sun rose, sipping coffee and reading, I found myself looking out over the bay and sighing at the peacefulness of it all. The rooms are much bigger and lighter than they appear in the photos, and are decorated in light soothing paint colors with local artwork and photography. THE LOCATION CANNOT BE BEAT! You can easily walk to all the restaurants, shops, and more. We were a little worried about the tremendous amount of stairs in the condo, but we got used to them. I didn't count them, but one guest wrote there are 33 in all, so if you have any limitations you may want to keep this in mind. There is a puppy/child gate provided that can be used at the top of the stairs. We would absolutely stay here again, and were so sad to leave!!

Great choice for St. George Sizzler 5k

Our 3 person (1 driver) running group stayed the weekend on the island for the St. George Sizzer 5k and it was perfect. The house was clean and comfortable and was walking distance to the race start/finish as well as necessities like the fresh market and Eddy Teach's. We all had a blast!

Wonderful vacation rental

We loved the house, everything was so nice and it was perfect for our family. Loved watching the boats go out every morning and fish on the bay side. Was able to walk to shops, food places and loved how they had the sidewalks for walking and riding bikes. We enjoyed being able to have a full kitchen and especially a washer and dryer. Will definitely try to stay again if we go that way again. Thanks to the owners,

Nice House, Good Vacation

The house was lovely. Lots of steps, though that was expected. Mostly we ate at the house and could find no can opener but that didn't stop us. The back yard was a bit over grown when we were there and it seemed like the cleaning crew didn't bother to sweep before we got there. Little things stand out but other wise it was a great vacation and a great house to stay in. We will consider staying there again next year but may have to get one with more bedrooms as more family wants to come us!! Eddie Teach's was less than a block away but you couldn't hear the music at night (good for the kiddos).

As far as your issue with sandy floors, we do have a professional cleaning team come in between guests. While we have never had a complaint of this type, we appreciate the honest feedback. In the future, if the cleanliness is subpar please don't hesitate to contact us immediately so that we can have the situation rectified and you can continue to enjoy your vacation.
