New custom house with all the conveniences of home and located on a secluded southside beach property. Enjoy the recently installed pool and cabana. Everything is new.....granite counter tops throughout; all wood cabinets; beautiful wood and cedar beam vaulted ceilings throughout; king size bed in each bedroom with luxury linens; comfortable furniture that feels like home; dining table inside and outside. Kitchen is stocked with nice dishes, glasses, pots, pans, knives......everything you could need.
This home has a cozy, spa-like feel that calls you to relax and embrace 'island time'. We designed and built this home as our vacation/retirement home and spent a lot of time selecting materials and furnishings that are unique to the island and provide a sense of luxury, comfort and calmness. There are palm leaf ceiling fans in every room and central A/C.
The covered patio provides an outdoor extension of the main living area of the house. With the pool, outdoor dining table, comfortable chairs and complete privacy you may want to live outside. That's when the outdoor shower will come in handy.
Walk right off the patio to the water's edge. Two official reef dive sites and excellent snorkeling are accessible from the shore on a calm day. A secluded white sandy beech area lays adjacent to the iron shore that meets the water and the sound of the waves.
There are outdoor sinks to clean up all your dive equipment too and a custom made drying rack. With an acre of private, natural landscape and the breath taking views of the ocean you will not want to leave.
Despite its small size and very small population, nearly every service you could need or want is available. There are well stocked grocery stores, a good selection of restaurants & bars featuring local entertainment, local bakery, dive operations, spa, boutique shops, fishing charters and excellent medical facilities (including a decompression chamber on island).
We live in Colorado and love the mountain views from our home. We figured the only better place on earth would be a pristine island with 180 degree views of the ocean. Now we have both! We have a small Environmental Consulting business that keeps us busy and helps support our Green desires and ambitions. As such our Brac house was built with Green goals in mind.
Pam Andrews purchased this house in 2010
We found Brac on a dive trip in 2004 and fell in love with the island and the people. Diving is spectacular and we haven't found anything to beat it. We love hiking the bluff, biking around the island, taking the kayaks out and mostly relaxing on the covered patio.
We love the privacy and calmness of our house and property. Tranquility is what we feel when we are there.
My husband and I just celebrated our 25th anniversary and were looking for some relaxing alone time. We hit the jack pot here! It was so quiet and secluded. The ocean lulled us to sleep and the gorgeous sunrises awakened us. There were plenty of things to do with cave exploring and hiking on the bluff at the lighthouse, and snorkeling. Amazing views! The house was in a great location, away from everyone and the pool was a great asset. My husband loved the outdoor shower! Pam has done an excellent job decorating and has thought of everything you may need. She has a whole book on things to do and where to go and who to talk to, which is a huge help. We brought frozen meat wrapped really well and it stayed frozen and we were glad as groceries are pricey on the island. But it was most enjoyable cooking for 2 (normally i cook for 7). :) The iron shore was fascinating and we did a lot of hiking, Keen sandals are a must! If you are looking for alone time at a relaxing pace, look no further.
I am so late in posting this review, but we have not forgotten what a wonderful experience we had. I'm not sure where to start... Location is excellent, beautiful views of the water and the sunsets. Nice to have the pool to relax. The house has so much to offer, check the cupboards before you buy groceries, they are stocked well. And it's nice to have it all to yourselves! We will definitely be back.
Me and my family stayed here the beginning of June. It is a beautiful house with a great view. The house has everything you need, just stop at the grocery and stock up on food. All the supplies are there. The beds are the most comfortable I ever slept on. The pool is great to cool off on after a day of hiking on the beautiful Brac. I will come back as soon as I can. I just hope that I will be able to book it because I am sure once someone has stayed here they will be back.
Pam was so easy to work with, so professional, she answered all our questions very patiently and kindly.
The house was immaculate, clean and had everything you could possibly imagine you would need to make your stay comfortable and pleasant.
Pool was fun and our place to be kids again.
The sound of the ocean and breeze were constant and so comforting, we loved how isolated we were and how tranquil our life's were for those 8 days.
Tranquility house is a peace of heaven, it was so hard to say good bye and come back to reality : (
We had an unforgettable time reconnecting with each other, getting to know the island, eating at local restaurants, and interacting with the friendly locals.
Elaine provided wonderful massages!
Thank you Pam and Scott for sharing your gorgeous paradise with us!

Perfect location in quiet area on South side of island. Low traffic made it convenient for early morning walks down the road out front and a private and quiet getaway. The pool was extremely nice to have available to cool off and enjoy with a cocktail. The large Lanai was used extensively, once you sat down you didn't really want to leave. The views were second to none and the steady breezes off the water kept any bugs away. The house was very comfortable and perfect for two couples with everything you would need. The WIFI made it easy to keep in contact as well as any work you might need to get done.
Pam was very easy to work with and prompt with any correspondence required.
Photos were accurate except they couldn't reflect the welcome feeling of seclusion that really existed as well as the expanse of the sea view that you have.
The property was extremely clean and I would highly recommend this property to anyone.
Getting around the island was easy since it isn't very large. The house is situated near the island cut through road in the center of the island making it convenient to all areas of the island.
We enjoyed the low key restaurants (Star, Brac Reef), and fresh grouper we had at least 3 nights of our stay from some of the local fishermen.
Can't say enough good things about this property, hope to be back soon.
My husband and I spent a week here with two of my relatives. The house is beautiful and inviting. The views from the back of the house are amazing. Jeffery, the property manager is very helpful and was a phone call away if we needed anything (which we didn't). I did not make the reservation, so I did not have contact with the owner, but my relatives did, and said Pam always responded promptly to any of their emails, and her guide to the house and island are super helpful. When she says the island is expensive and to pack foods that travel well, do it. My husband and I would love to go back to this house again one day, and we've already figured out that we need way less outfits.
Tranquility House is the perfect name for this home, and we spent half our time lounging in the pool or sitting in the swing chairs beneath the cabana, although we did drag ourselves out in the heat to do some exploring. (We recommend hiking on Long Beach when the heat index is not 113 degrees F.) Speaking of the pool, it was wonderful for another reason. As a former competitive swimmer, I noticed right away the lack of all chemical smell. I believe Jeffery told us that the pool uses an ionized system. You can actually feel the difference on your skin and hair, and even that small detail added to the enjoyment of our vacation.
South Side, Cayman Brac, Cayman Islands, Caribbean (Brac is 12 miles long / 1 miles wide so everything is close) -- Oceanfront: Walk right off the patio to the water's edge. Some sand before you reach the iron shore that meets the water. On a calm day you can enter the water just a few yards down the beach with excellent snorkeling and diving just 25 feet from shore. Fall to sleep with the relaxing sound of the waves.
Other Activities: boating, rock climbing, kayaking, health/beauty spa
