BRIGHT, RENOVATED, W. A BEAUTIFUL VIEW OF THE RIVER IN ANCIENT ROME TRASTEVERE!

Trastevere area Apartment Rental Photos and Description

1 living, dining, kitchenette, great River view, 1 bedroom,1 bathroom. Sleeps 4

The apartment was recently renovated and carries all the comforts.

It’s very bright, with a beautiful view overlooking the Tiber River. It has wooden floorboards throughout, double glazed windows, air conditioning, wireless Internet and washing machine. The living area has a comfortable sofa bed, a TV and a fully equipped kitchenette.

In the loft area there is a double queen sized bed with a TV.

A bathroom with a large shower, wash basin, WC and bidet.

The apartment is located on the second floor (with no elevator, but a very easy climb) in an old building in the ancient Trastevere, right across the Tiber river. Steps away from Piazza Trilussa, where you’ll find a very busy night action with many bars and restaurants.

The apartment is very close to all the tourist attractions and historic monuments; 5 minutes walking distance to the Vatican, 3 minutes to Piazza Trilussa, just across the River from Campo dei Fiori and Piazza Navona.

About Trastevere:: Trastevere is a very romantic area right in the center of Rome, 5 to 10 minutes walking distance from all the major touristic attractions.

Long known by Romans for its restaurants and bars, Trastevere is a pleasant area to stroll in Rome, particularly peaceful in the morning and lively in the evening as dozens of trattorias set tables out along the cobblestone streets.

The immediate area has some of the best Trastevere restaurants and trattorias as well as one of Rome's most famous bakeries all within a few blocks.

A small grocery store, bar/cafe are right down the street, in a friendly neighborhood; so you have everything you could possibly need within the neighborhood

The neighborhood of Trastevere is known for its lively nature, and the array of people it attracts, it's a favorite of foreigners due to its authenticity and the two international universities in the area.

Trastevere is also the location for a weekend pizza for most Romans who gather on the weekends in the pizzerias and stroll with a gelato through the cobblestone streets or along the river for a hand grated granita.

Trastevere is east of the historical center on the other side of the River Tiber. It’s one of Rome’s oldest neighbourhoods and certainly one of the most characteristic. Here you’ll find many restaurants and bars located on the cobbled-stone narrow streets of Trastevere. Once home to the Syrian community and then to the Jewish community, Trastevere has slowly and steadily grown into the second biggest Rione (neighborhood) in Rome.

Rich families such as the Farnese settled in amongst populace bringing wealth and giving the area a certain status that had been coveted throughout history. At the heart of Trastevere is Piazza di Santa Maria in Trastevere which is one of the most beautiful piazza’s in Rome.

Comfortable and very centrally located

  • 4 of 5
Location location location! Within 10 minutes walking distance, you're either at the Piazza Santa Maria in Trastevere, the Campo dei Fiori, Gianicolo or the Vatican. Colosseo and Piazza del Popolo-area are a bit further away but totally do-able by foot (we travelled with our 4-year old son and didn't bother using public transportation at all - we did use some gelato stops as bribery though).

The apartment itself was clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. Can't say anything about the kitchen since we didn't eat in once (you'll find plenty of nice restaurants and bars just minutes away in central Trastevere), but it seemed to be all right.

I would recommend to use their taxi service, a driver was waiting for us at Fiumicino when we arrived and picked us up at 04.15 AM sharp. You'll pay just a few euros more than you would pay for a regular taxi but it will safe you some hassle.

If you're a light sleeper, you might be bothered by the traffic on Lungotevere (the apartment is on a lower-lying street next to Lungotevere). Closing the windows helps enormously but it will not entirely block the sound of Roman traffic.

Comfortable, good value on edge of Trastevere.

  • 4 of 5
Comfortable and clean apt, newly renovated in an old building. Trastevere is a great location, but this is a 5-10 minute walk just to get to trastevere, so it's not ideal of you want to stay in thick of things. Also, the building entrance is on a dingy road below main street level, that is a bit off putting upon first seeing. But that is soon overcome. And on the other hand, it is quiet, with double glazed glass. Bath room is nice, and everything is available in the small kitchen. The loft bed is comfortable, and the pull out sofa is fine, at least for children. Would probably be too small for 4 adults. Luca and his assistants are very responsive and helpful.

In sum, While the location is not true Trastevere, it's close enough and a very good value.

Great Apartment in Trastevere

  • 5 of 5
The location of this apartment was perfect for our stay in Rome. Situated on the edge of Trastevere, it's just a short walk to the heart of this amazing neighborhood, full of great restaurants, shops and cafes. A 10 minute walk in the opposite direction, and you're at the Vatican. You can also walk to the sites in Ancient Rome, which is a bit longer (about 20 minutes),

The apartment itself was updated with all of the modern amenities you would need, clean and comfortable. Rosie met us when we arrived and gave us all of the information we needed about the apartment and the building. There was plenty of room for the two of us and the nearby markets made it easy to make something quick to eat before going out to site see for the day.

Luca was extremely helpful before and during our stay, even arranging for transportation from the airport when we arrived. Of course, using the car service costs extra and is well worth the extra fee after a long flight from the U.S. He was also very accommodating and responsive, providing information about the apartment and the area prior to our arrival.

The only possible drawback is the street noise, as the apartment fronts a busy street with traffic going by all day and night. Just keeping the windows closed, however, cut back on the noise significantly and we got used to it very quickly.

Overall, the location, amenities and Luca's great customer service make this apartment a great value for anyone wanting to immerse themselves in the local culture while staying in Rome.

Another great stay.

  • 5 of 5
We had great stay at the apartment (second time in this building) it was well equipped with all you needed and within walking distance of most of the popular sites. As well as the stay at the apartment it was arranged that we were picked up from the airport and dropped of outside the apartment (as well as taken back at the end of the stay) the cost of this was very reasonable and a lot less hassle than the train.

The apartment is within easy walking distance of restaurants and shops (some next to it). So you could eat out or get a take away pizza (one next to the apartment make a great pizza) or buy ingredients and cook in the apartment.

When I come back to Rome I will stay here again.

Great apartment

  • 5 of 5
My wife and I recently spent four nights in this apartment and we loved it. It was our first trip to Rome and we weren't sure of the best locations in the city, but this worked perfectly. Trastevere is a comfortable neighborhood with a lot of good restaurants and wine bars, and this apartment was also within a ten-minute walk to the Campo di Fiori, and within twenty minutes of Piazza Navona, the Pantheon, and related sights.

The apartment itself is spacious, and the windows looking out toward the river mean lots of natural light. Since we were out and about almost all the time we could probably make do with less space, but we enjoy renting apartments since it gives us the feel of living in the cities we visit. I highly recommend this particular unit, and renting from Luca was very easy. Rosie was there to meet us and get us settled, and we felt very comfortable right from the outset. I recommend arranging the car service through Luca as well. It's a little more expensive than a taxi, but it makes everything that much easier.

We hope to return someday soon!

A wonderful week in Rome!

  • 5 of 5
My wife and I just returned to the States from spending a week in this wonderful apartment. Lucca was very helpful in answering all of our questions and arranging transportation to and from the airport. We would highly recommend allowing him to arrange this transportation as we found it very reasonably priced and reliable. The location of the apartment was ideal - just a short stroll into Trastevere for dinner in the evening was one of our highlights! Many wonderful restaurants to pick from within an easy 10 minute walk. This apartment is a short walk to many of the top sights in Rome - 10-15 minutes to the Vatican, 15 minutes to Piazza Navona, and many more sights. The Colosseum and Spanish Steps are further, but easy to do if you have the time. We also used the buses and metro system for further locations. The apartment itself was very comfortable - we loved the bed! Plenty of space for 2-4 people. Very nicely decorated and clean. Rosie, who met us when we arrived, was very helpful with directions and advice on buses, restaurants, etc. We would grab a cappuccino right next door in the morning and head off for the day. We had a wonderful week and would definitely recommend this apartment - because of the location, the condition of apartment and the helpfulness of Lucca and Rosie!
