5 bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms, sleeps 11 comfortably

Secluded sandy beach located in a quiet area about a half mile from the entrance to the Cheboygan River. 50ft trees surround this fully equipped home with oak floors and soft light carpeting. Don't be surprised to see deer, fox and a myriad variety of water fowl. Watch the 1000ft international freighters sail by from the many rooms, large deck, or fire pit on the beach. This home was built and furnished for comfort and serenity.

The bed set up is 3 queen beds in 3 separate rooms, one bedroom with two twins, one bedroom with one twin, and a den with a fold out double.

Peace - Owner Comment: : My brother calls our property, a little 'peace' of paradise. The silence all around is broken by the songs of birds, hearing swans flying by, cricket calls in the evenings, and the sound of waves lapping the beach. Sunsets over the lake are spectacular and many enjoy it around the large fire pit on the beach. Thank you for considering our home for your vacation. This home is so comfortable, quiet, and on the beach of Lake Huron. It is surrounded by 50 foot trees and secluded.

Besides being secluded, it's only a 15 minute drive to the ferries of Mackinac Island, 2 minutes to shopping, movie theatre, and lots of water activities.

Notes:
There are 7 rooms with the sweeping views of the Straits of Mackinac. Although the mighty Mackinaw Bridge (4th largest expansion bridge in the world) is 15 miles away, you can see it plainly from several of the rooms. Also within view is Mackinac Island, Bois Blanc Island, and 14 Foot Shoal Lighthouse.

Great place for Mackinac Vacation

We stayed for 3 days during Labor day Weekend. Overall, it was wonderful experience and enjoyed a lot as what we planned. Trip to Mackinac Island (just 15 miles fun drive) and shipwreck tours.
With 14 members (including 4 kids), this home was the best choice for our group. Had BBQ party in the evenings and fun games in beach (though it is kind of stone), still we were able to enjoy.

Rating this home for 5 star experience, because we had all what we expected in this home

Great Family Vacation

We had a wonderful week at this rental. Lots of room for our family, it was wonderful that there was seating at the dining room table for all of us. Huge deck and yard for the kids and dogs. The views were so relaxing and were able to take long walks on back roads. The beach is huge but rocky and shallow. Cheboygan State Park is just a few miles away and has a beautiful sandy beach for the kids.
The five bedrooms were very comfortable and 3 bathrooms were and added plus with all linens supplied. The kitchen has everything we needed. Loved having only one TV as we spend more family time together. Thank you for making 2012 Family Vacay fantastic.

We loved our week long stay at your home! Our oldest daughter was
being married at St. Mary's/St. Charles (only a couple blocks away).
Your wonderful home afforded us the space to make the event a family
reunion. From our 87 year old mother to our 2 1/2 year old
grand-daughter, we all had a blast. The little ones loved splashing
in the water, the bigger ones truly enjoyed having beach-fires at night
and sing a longs. Mom had a great time sitting on the deck watching all
the boat traffic. Everyone had their own room so if they wanted to
"escape" they could. We had the rehearsal dinner here as a picnic and
it was terrific! After the wedding reception, we all sat around the
fire on the beach and watched the fireworks at the bridge. Absolutely
fabulous vacation for the entire family who came from Washington
state, Tennessee, and Michigan. We highly recommend this to anyone
wanted the perfect vacation spot. Thank you so very much, Valerie and
Phil, for opening your home to us.

A great house with lovely views of the straits. Plenty of room for all of us and the local family and friends who popped by. The house is well maintained, beds are all comfy. Everyone enjoyed the outdoor space, the fire pit was a great treat. Tim the property manager was very helpful and made us feel at home.
Not to be missed, can't wait to go back.

Peace and Quiet

Thanks for letting us stay in your house! Property was clean and well maintained. It accommodated 11 people plus 2 dogs comfortably! We could always find space to be alone or be with family. The outside grill was the hub for us, we were often outside grilling and taking in the wonderful views of the water. You can easily see the bridge, and the ferry to Mackinac island was only 15 mins away. It was great to be so close to the water, and be in the city in less than 10 mins to buy supplies.

The water was very private, even the dogs had fun in the water! And we also saw a lot of eagles, and 2 bald eagles!
