COMFORT, SERENITY, BEAUTY! PURE PARADISE ON FAMOUS KING'S BAY

My husband and I loved this character filled, waterfront cottage. We were pleased to find the property exactly as described and extremely clean. We especially loved the huge yard with the wonderful bay view, and spent evenings enjoying the view from the lanai. I would recommend this rental to anyone who loves to enjoy outdoor activities. We divided our time between fishing in the bay, enjoying one of the beautiful beaches that is a short drive from the house and just relaxing and enjoying the nature in the back yard. We were even fortunate enough to have a few dolphin sightings! The owner was extremely friendly and accommodating. Thank you for helping make our vacation so enjoyable, we plan on coming back for another stay as soon as possible!

My wife, our dog Roxy, and I spent a peaceful long weekend at this house. This rental offered a home away from home feel. The bedrooms were spacious and the bed was extremely comfortable especially because it is bigger than ours at home. It was wonderful to be able to go out on the screen porch and enjoy the morning or sunset. The house it right on the water and the view of the bay is fantastic. We were lucky enough to see a few dolphins swim past the dock and catch some fish, which was very exciting. We brought our kayak and paddled around the area exploring. There are some very beautiful natural areas within paddling distance. The house is on a very quiet little street but is just a short distance to all of the stores and restaurants in the area. The kitchen had the essentials we needed and was vrey clean. We can’t wait for some vacation time so we can spend another weekend relaxing by the bay.

The empty box of roach motels in kitchen garbage can were a warning that the owner / cleaner knew about the roach infestation. 12 roach motels under couches and beds, roach feces (and motels) in kitchen drawers, cabinets and on dishes! Roaches came out of the toaster when turned on!

Other than the bug issue it is advertised to have a hammock, satellite TV, Video Game Console, Video Games, Stereo System and music library. It has NONE of these. The owner said they were stolen by renters and the hammock was removed for "liability issues" but they still advertise them! "Full kitchen" does not represent the fact that there is no dishwasher.

If they cleaned the roaches and advertised correctly you have a 1950's era home, with original bathrooms, windows and window dressings. The house is all original except the tile floors, refrigerator and range. It is on a canal with a partial view of Kings Bay, obstructed by overgrown vegetation. I have never stayed at a Motel 6 but if I did this is what I would expect.

Crystal River is a beautiful area with a lot of older homes on the water. As a frequent visitor to the area I was not expecting the Ritz but I was expecting it to be complete with advertised amenities, and free of cockroaches and cockroach traps. A few can sneak in when a door opens, ok, but not throughout the kitchen, in the cabinets, and flying (inside) the home when the lights are out.
