A charming guest house located in a tourist district

Just spent two weeks in this property and would definitely recommend it to anyone.

The owners were very kind and couldn't do enough to help us.

The bungalow is very clean and the two bedrooms (one double & one single)are of a good size.

There was adequate crockery, cutlery and glass ware, an electric kettle, and a Gas Cooker with Electric oven & Grill, and there is a fridge and pots, pans and frypans. Furniture includes a table, 4 chairs a two seater sofa, a small TV with a digi box which shows mostly foreign channels with Croatian subtitles. A couple of channels show old British/American shows with Croatian subtitles. There is no radio or provision for playing CD's.
There is no sea or land view from the bungalow.
Outside there is a table and 4 chairs under the fig tree.
There is a supermarket about 5mins away that stocks most of the basics, and there is an ATM outside it that can be used by most Debit/Cards.

A nearby by Pizzerria called Mama Rina serves lovely pizza's, but we were not too happy with the pasta dishes. The Marika Hotel just across the road also serves quite good food. Mijo Restaurant about ten minutes walk away is also very good and the staff were very helpful.
About 20mins away up the hill on the main bus route is a restaurant called Sime. This is one restaurant I can definitely recommend and would advise you try the Calf's Liver. When I couldn't finish my portion they put it in a container so that I could take it home.
My highest recommendation is for Hotel Niko just along the front of the marina. This restuarant serves wonderful fish dishes and the staff are the most helpful people. We only went there twice, but on our second visit we were treated like long standing customers. The owner was there with a party of friends who were in a choral group. Throughout our meal the whole restaurant was treated to the most wonderful singing of folk songs. This apparently happen quite frequently but not at specified times.

This is a holiday I would certainly like to do again, but don't expect a cheap holiday as prices are on a par with Britain

This bungalow was simple but well cared for and a fantastic deal. The owners were friendly but allowed us our privacy when we wanted it. Only minutes from the grocery and beach and many restaurants and cafes. About 3km from Old Town, the heart of the city, but buses run frequently between Borik and the Old Town.
