Villa Las Palmas is located on beautiful Playa Palada Beach our Condo is 100 yard walk (which is as close as you can build from the high water line)to the beach. The Condo has a fully equipped kitchen, linens, off street parking, washer & dryer. Maid service is available for a fee.
The grounds are landscaped to preserve the natural beauty of Costa Rica. The sunsets are spectacular from our beach. The wildlife abounds, colorful tropical birds, iguanas, howler monkeys provide a great introduction to Costa Rica.
The fishing is as good as it gets, I live on the west cost of Florida have a nice boat, but I live to fish in Costa Rica. I had a charter fishing business back in the late 90's and I can fix you up with one of the fishing captains that I know in Garza.

I lived in Nosara for 4 years in the late 90's,I fell in love with Costa Rica over 17 years ago, I have owned the condo on Palata Beach for 8 years. We spend about 2 months a year here. I own a Real Estate business in St. Petersburg, Florida.
The Owner purchased this condo in 2005
We love the area because of the remoteness which keeps it from getting too crowded with tourists, having grown up in Florida in the 40's & 50's it makes me think of a time you could go to the beach and be the only one there.
The sunsets at the beach are incredible.
Our first trip to Costa Rica and it was so relaxing and fun. The condo was clean, super spacious, great price and the owner was so helpful. The other condo owners were great and welcoming too......they all just welcomed us into their community. The pool was perfect and the beach is just a 2 minute walk and is quiet and clean.
The wi-fi never worked well and it would be great if there was some boogy boards and other stuff to use.
We are returning to Villa Las Palmas for the 3rd time. We absolutely love the area, the people, and the condo. The beach and the pool are right outside your door, and the beach goes for miles. There is wonderful wildlife - Howlers, parrots, butterflies, and more. There are some good restaurants in the neighborhood and many more in Guiones and Nosara. We didn't have a car the last time we were there except when we needed to go to the Super Nosara store or to take a side trip. We walked on the beach every day and walked to the bank, Guiones, and the Nature Preserve. Venders come several times a week: a bakery truck, a produce truck, and a tica on a motorcycle who brings local foods. We went out to the bat cave down the beach at low tide and took a bird watching boat trip up the Rio Negra. We also kayaked up the Rio Negra. Oh, there is also a great zip line. If you don't want a fancy resort with too many people, this is the place to be. We just relaxed and enjoyed.
I traveled as a total novice to this area. The condo owner Woody was so communicative and helpful to me right from the start that it gave me the confidence to make this trip. The roads were a bit of a shock to a suburbs-dweller like myself, but with a 4-wheel drive vehicle we soon got used to the driving and the road signs. Do not make the trip to the condo at night...would be very hard to find. The Los Palmos condos are perfect; there is a private beach in the 'backyard' along with a pool right outside your door. The condo was stocked with everything we needed, but not overly fancy ... just vacation perfect. And, a great location - walking distance to two restaurants (one with excellent food and one right on the beach), as well as easy driving to many of the area attractions. If you are looking for nightlife - this is not the place. This is for nature lovers and those who want to take a deep breath, kick back, and enjoy the scenery (as well as the surfing, swimming, nature walks/tours, ziplining, fishing). Highly recommend Woody's condo at Los Palmos if you are thinking of traveling to this area.
If you are traveling to Nosara and looking for a place to stay which access to a beach by foot, Woody's place is the ideal set up. The Las Palmas Condo is located in a secluded yet accessible area - very close to 2 great restaurants, an amazing gelato store, and the beach is to die for!!! The two best things to do are wake up early for a beach walk as the sun is rising and enjoy sunset cocktails on the beach watching the sun set. The beach is stunning, quiet, private, and not crowded. The condo is a perfect, spacious set up, plenty of space for a couple, and great for even 2 couples. My boyfriend and I enjoyed meeting all of the friendly neighbors who live in the condo community for part of the year. All very friendly and helpful! We can't wait to go back to Nosara!!
I have been lucky enought to vacation twice at this lovely secluded complex where the sunsets are fantastic and the fishing is even better! The pool, condo and laundry were all up to American standards (which is not the case in the rural Costa Rica). Seems there are now 2 Costa Ricas one for the rich turistas who don't mind spending up to $900. a night and for the rest of us the accomodations range from places where NO English is spoken and your valuables are Highly at risk! I had to laugh about the comments by the 2 women who were afraid of being victimized by banditos! The roads are safe but they are not paved and very rough in spots! There is a history in Costa Rica of the people and the government wanting to stop giving the country away to developers and such is the case with the roads around Nosara! The local Captain can get you offshore for about a 1/4 of the costs at Jaco(Los Suenos) down coast! My visits have been very enjoyable and the screens keep those little pests away. Yes there are bugs in the jungle. It does help to speak un poco de espanol!
WOW--I LOVED this place. It was just what I needed to get away from the rat race!. Everyone was laid back and friendly. The snorkling was a bit tough due to the tides going out or in. Go during slack tide. But talk about relaxing...If you want big time excitment in the form of big city..DO not come here !
The roads are not highways and your best bet is to fly into Nasar from San Jose. You will need a good sense of directions as the street signs are sparse. The pool at the Codo was super and seemed to be the gathering spot to meet other friendly guest. The food was good and the locals were helpful. Just go and RELAX!! Catch some fish too! Can't wait to go back!
