Wonderful Home with Attention to Detail

My husband and I had a great Thanksgiving here along with our son, his wife, and their two children, ages 6 and 3. It turned out to be perfect for the kids because there were baskets of toys and books, and they were especially happy in the room upstairs with the window seat--they called it the "tree house".
We love art and architecture from the Arts & Crafts period, and the owners have done a great job with the dining room/family room with gorgeous stairs leading to the second floor.
The house was spotless and had all the amenities. It's a short walk to the beach and a short drive into Yachats. We didn't go out for any meals, but did make a trip to the hardware store in Yachats. It is the best store--it has everything from candy and toys to cleaning and plumbing supplies. The people there were so friendly--just like a hardware store from the 50's.
We hope to return again, perhaps during the summer months, and we'll definitely tell our friends who plan to be traveling in the area.
