Hatton House Stay
We rented the main house and one cottage for three nights. It was for a family snow trip with 23 of us including children. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. The house is beautiful inside and out, with incredible furniture in every room. The main kitchen is large but very sparse on pots and pans, just a few old pans available. If you have a large party you'll need to bring your own. You'll also need your own plates, silverware and glasses, just a few available there and some are cracked and chipped. For your bathrooms, bring your own shampoo, soap, extra toilet paper, etc.. Some towels are there and washer and dryer.
The steam room shower is very refreshing but the dry sauna is not working. The large room on the main floor holds everyone comfortably and there are plenty of tables for eating. The barbecue looks nasty, I'd stay away from it. There are Direct TV boxes on the two TVs but they don't have Direct TV, they have cable so ignore the cable boxes, not sure why they haven't removed them. A few items in need of repair, its a big house so I assume its a non-stop task to keep up with them. Informed owners Mila and Wade on issues we found.
When you leave they expect you to empty every trash pail or garbage can in the house and take them to the bins outside. You will need to bring your own 30 gallon trash bags for the inside trash can. You also have to strip the beds (put the bedspread back on the bed) and take sheets and towels to the laundry area and leave the kitchen EXACTLY how it was when you got there. Yes, its ridiculous but I did get my deposit back on the spot in cash, so that was nice. The owners live onsite and are very friendly and helpful with questions, it may just be an odd experience compared to other rentals in the area. But nobody else has 9 bedrooms, so its worth the effort if you can put up with the long list of rules. Easy to get to off the freeway, close to town and it has its own large parking lot.
