Casa Infinity floats above the Pacific with views of thirty miles of coastline and Costa Rica. The brand new house, made from Brazilian wood, has unique locally hand made tiles, bathroom fixtures, lighting and artwork including bed frames (each is a piece of art). Fully air conditioned, satellite TV, hi speed wireless internet, gorgeous infinity pool & a caretaker on sight make this rustic experience luxurious. Casa Infinity is located within the private, 24 hr. guard gated eco developed community of Redonda Bay. Howler monkeys are in the trees and turtles hatch on the beach(seasonally). Redonda Bay is also home to the highly rated eco-lodge, Aqua. Aqua has a spa, beautiful pristine beach, beach front restaurant and offers a host of activities including fishing, boating, surfing, snorkeling, kayaking, birdwatching, massage &local Spanish lessons. Canopy tours, colonial cities, volcanoes, craft markets are all easy day trips. Most important, Nicaragua is a safe, beautiful country with a low crime rate. Owner will custom design trip upon request.
We bought the property in 2005 after seeing the view above. It took about three years to finish it. In Dec. 2012, a luxury hotel is opening named Makul on the bay directly adjacent to us to the south. Our views are much better and we are much less expensive!!

We became interested in Central America after a family vacation to Costa Rica. We were advised to check out Nicaragua for a more authentic experience with lower property costs.
Our lot goes out to a point and that is where we placed the infinity pool. We are on the open ocean side of the development and our house feels like you are floating above the ocean.
We changed the architectural model to open up the whole living area to the ocean as well as opted not to have an upstairs mezzanine to expand the master bedroom and to have a sweeping ocean view from the bed.
Additionallt, an Academy Award winning art director consulted on the furnishings and finishes. The finished product speaks for itself and will have you craving to come back for more!
I recently stayed in the house for a weekend with my parents and friends. We had a wonderful time--the house is absolutely gorgeous and the views are breathtaking. The beach is a 2-3 minute walk away and is secluded and clean. The house manager and security guards were all very helpful. One thing potential visitors should know-- your final turn off is at a guard station on the left called "Redonda Bay." If you visit during rainy season be prepared for an adventurous drive! Overall, it was a great visit and I definitely recommend this house to anyone interested in "getting away from it all" for a peaceful and relaxing weekend on the ocean.
Driving directions to the house were not clear. It should also be noted that the last 10-15 miles are on a dirt road which is OK if it hasn't rained a lot prior to the visit. Heavy rains can produce lake-like puddles that cry out for a 4 wheel drive vehicle. House itself is gorgeous. Location (in terms of proximity to beach, views, outdoor seating, etc.) is spectacular. Indoor lighting is not great and it would probably take a week or more to figure out which switch worked with which light and which switch was not yet connected to any light. Problems with ants, really tiny ones, in some rooms, including kitchen. But then again, this is in Nicaragua so the roads and insects are somewhat expected. People renting this house should bring everything they possibly need when they first go to the house because going out to get something could prove to be a huge pain. The caretaker is helpful but I didn't want to use him as a personal shopper. Overall, positive to very positive experience. Price is very reasonable.
