We are the Barton family. Spencer and I (April) both grew up in the Salt Lake area. We are currently stationed in Germany while my husband serves in the United States Army. We have enjoyed having a short term rental and have time and again seen how good and respectful people are. We are grateful for a wonderful property manager and family who have helped us keep the rental going while we are out of the country. Thankfully with their help and technology it has been a very good experience. Though we are far from home for now we still call Salt Lake City home and are excited to share our home with you.

My family and I recently spent a great week skiing at Alta and were able to stay at April's house. The location is perfect: very close to lots of stores and restaurants two playgounds and an easy 25 minute drive to the mountain. The house itself is very spacious, comfortably furnished, and stocked with absolutely everything you could need. It was also meticulously clean! April was very easy to deal with and responded quickly to out questions. Happy vacation!
Perfect location for our annual family ski trip. Our family of five goes to a different skiing location each winter, and this year's trip was SLC. The house worked great with it's location within 30 min of Brighton, Solitude, Snowbird & Alta. We also made the 70 min drive up to Snowbasin. Great value. The rooms are fairly spacious and VERY clean. The kitchen is well stocked with pans, utensils, etc.,but no leftover spices from previous guests ( that clean thing, I guess ) so we had to stick to the basics with cooking. Plenty of restaurants and grocery stores within a mile or so, whichever is your preference. Multiple ski shops nearby. Neighborhood seems quite safe, and I felt comfortable going out on a morning run. The house is at a somewhat busy intersection, but only a relatively minor issue around rush hour. Easy to find from airport (20 min). The newly installed 47 inch TV was nice to have during football bowl season when chilling out after a day on the slopes.Garage parking and storage space in garage for skis a plus in the winter.
Any disappointments? Not really. Would have been nice to have propane for the grill, but probably more important for a summer stay.
Best single aspect - The owner! April was very accommodating and helpful. She responded quickly to emails prior to our stay and had someone clean the snow off the driveway and put the trash cans out so we didn't have to worry about it.
Will definitely keep it on our radar for our next trip to SLC!
We stayed here for 2 1/2 weeks after adopting our son. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay...especially with a newborn. April was so nice and helpful when we needed anything. The area is good too...close to everything! Definitely recommend staying here!
This rental is in a perfect location for access to the interstate and shopping. The house was very clean, comfortable, and kitchen had all the necessities. Another bonus was being able to park in the garage. This would be especially convenient in the winter! April, the owner, is very sweet and a gem to work with. She made sure everything was to our liking and that we had everything we needed. We would definitely stay here again! Thanks for everything April!
We've stayed at this house on two separate occasions and love the location and conveniences of this property. The property manager is great and easy to work with and we plan on coming back for our very enjoyable ski weekends.
We enjoyed the Cottonwood Heights house. It was as advertised, with beautiful oak floors, a modern kitchen, and a very quiet dishwasher. The three bedrooms were quite comfortable and the large laundry and "mud room" provided lots of warm and dry storage. The unit was clean, well-maintained and the owner was easy to work with and very responsive. The location was a little busy (corner of two streets) but the tradeoff was easy and quick access to Brighton/Solitude (Big Cottonwood Canyon) and Snowbird/Alta (Little Cottonwood Canyon) ski areas, and a short jump on to the freeway to the Park City/Canyons/Deer Valley (east side of Wasatch) ski areas and the SLC airport. We skied all three areas during our stay. An excellent grocery store was only 1/4 mile away, and ski and board shops were equally accessible. I recommend this property as a very nice and convenient place to stay while visiting Salt Lake City and the Wasatch Mountains.
