Now in our 8th year, 'Chateau Relaxo' has become one the most sought after residences for family vacations in Sea Pines. Located on Deer Run Lane, Chateau Relaxo is in the heart of Sea Pines and the island's best beaches. Don't miss your chance to stay in this (2nd to 12th row) beautifully appointed 4 bedroom (three with private bath), 3 & 1/2 bath home, with over 2,500 square feet of living space, and your own private spa and pool, which gets great mid-morning to late afternoon full sun, all in the popular Heritage Woods and Baynard Cove area. Conveniently located on the bike path connecting these two neighborhoods along with all of paths that cover the Sea Pines plantation. Feel free to use our bikes (6 adult bikes (26'), one with an attached bike cart), 4 beach chairs and a cooler, for your convenience and savings. After your morning activities it's time to get out to the beach! You can walk to the beach, or take a quick (less than a 5 minute) bike ride. Pack the 'mule' (bike cart) and cooler we provide with your refreshments and you're off to the beach! Take the bike path right next to the house to Black Skimmer beach (see the map below). What arrangements are made to pick up a key? Our home is equipped with an electronic 'keyless' entry system that is programmed with a code of your choice. This makes it very convenient for our guests as they do not have to worry about getting locked out, or losing a key.

Does your pool get any direct sun as many of the homes we've stayed in within Sea Pines, well there pools are too shaded? Yes, our pool gets direct sun light from mid-morning to late afternoon. Summer pool temps generally range from 87 - 90 degrees. Many of our guests share that they really enjoy having the pool after a day at the beach!

What if there is an issue while we are staying at your house? Our home has been professionally managed by an on-island company for the past several years. All issues are quickly addressed with minimal disruption to your vacation. So, you never need to worry about trying to contact the owner to report a problem and work with an absentee owner to help them address the issue.

Where can we rent bikes and how much does it cost? As mentioned above, feel free to use our 6 adult 26 inch bikes, bike cart, or use one of the many bike rental companies on the island. I'll be glad to provide you with recommended companies should you decide to not use our bikes, or should you need more. And our home is conveniently located right on one of the many bike paths that take you all over the plantation.

How close are you to the beach? Under 5 minutes by bike, or an enjoyable 8-10 minute stroll. See the map below.

Are you close to Harbour Town and South Beach? Yes, and we bike to both. Our home is just about equal distance to both; it's about a 10 minute bike ride, or 5 minutes by car.

What size is your house? Our single level home is over 2,500 square feet. The master bedroom is approximately 250 square feet, 2 bedrooms are about 200 square feet each (14 X 14) and the 4th bedroom / kid's bunk room is approximately 130 square feet. All bedrooms have ample closet and storage space.

Is your home for sale and could we have our vacation interrupted by an agent wanting to show the house? No, our home is not for sale. We do caution prospective guests that are looking at other properties to check with the owner or manager to insure that the property they are considering is not for sale, or that they will not have their vacation interrupted by agents wanting to show the home!

Do you offer discounts? If your arrival date is less than 30 days away and our home is available, we will certainly work with you.

Do we add cleaning fees to your listed prices? No, this fee is included in the price. The only other fees are South Carolina Accommodation and City of Hilton Head Island taxes totaling 10%, and the optional fee to heat the pool and / or spa, or gas log fireplace.

Why Kerry chose Sea Pines

The Sea Pines Plantation is like no other vacation / resort community you will find. And Deer Run Lane puts you in the best location in the plantation. Just a short stroll to the beach and minutes by bike to South Beach, Harbour Town, or just about anywhere within the plantation. You quickly find yourself not wanting to use your car, but walk or bike everywhere. It is all about connecting with family, friends and the unique environment of the plantation.

What makes this house unique

This isn't a 'rental property' to us - it's our home! We want our guests to feel like they are staying in a special place, with the amenities you'd expect in a resort home, along with the charm and comfort of a true 'beach' house.

As you can see in the pictures - our recent renovations, along with the open floor plan, will keep you comfortable and connected with family and the outdoors. Were right on one of the bike trails that connect the plantation. Imagine sitting at the dining room table, or on the screened porch, and having a fabulous view of the birds that flock to the lagoon, or the fish as they jump. Some evenings you will see deer slowly work their way through the area and disappear into the woodland area behind our home. The lagoon is great for taking the kids fishing or crabbing. All you need is a simple pole with a float, worms and you are on your way to making memories. We looked at so many homes in the area before we purchased this house and began its' transformation into Chateau Relaxo! You won't find a cleaner, more relaxed and well appointed, open and fun house in the area.

A Great Place to Get Away from Winter

Sea Pines with its many amenities was a wonderful place to spend the winter this year. We enjoyed 10 weeks in this lovely 3-bedroom ranch home with a serene lagoon view. Its location beside the bike path was ideal for our favorite pastimes--riding bikes to Harbour Town and South Beach and walking to the nearby Atlantic Ocean beach with our dog. Each of the bedrooms has its own private bath, a feature that our family members really appreciated during their visits. This recently updated and comfortable home is beautifully decorated and its open floor plan was great for entertaining and very accessible for my husband who sometimes uses a walker. We also enjoyed watching the large HD TVs in the great room and master bedroom in the evenings. This is our third winter on Hilton Head Island and this home is by far our favorite of the homes we've rented. We also found the home owners very accommodating and responsive to our needs. We would certainly recommend this home as a wonderful place to stay in Sea Pines!

We love the low country with its spectacular natural beauty, almost-constant sunshine and friendly folks so much, that during our stay this winter we bought a waterfront lot near Beaufort and plan to build a home and relocate in the near future!

My wife and I have vacationed on Hilton Head for the past 25 yrs and Chateau Relaxo is by far the best accommodations so far. Well equipped, comfortable beds, short walk to beach and very clean. We enjoyed sitting in the sun room and riding bikes. Kerry was very helpful and was available when needed. We will be returning next year.

A very special place - location location location

Home was spacious, clean and well equipped with everything you could want. Great location, short walk or bike ride (bikes included) to the fabulous beach were we took our dog to walk off leash every day. Kerry, the owner, was an exceptionally gracious host, following up with us to check that we were settled and had everything we needed. We recommend this property to any prospective client and know you'll be happy with the facilities and the customer service. Keep in mind that this is not just a rental property but the owners family vacation home.The comfort and amenities are far superior to any rentals. Sea Pines is a very unique and special community on the island, so much so that we've already been in contact with a realtor!

Great Home! Can't wait to come back!

Rent Chateau Relaxo with confidence! Kerry was very accomodating and easy to work with; he made sure to address all our questions, communication was always fast and courteous. The pictures are accurate as is the description of the home. Little upgrades, like a Keurig coffee maker and egyptian sheets, beach bikes (and the mule), show the property owner makes his guests' stay as comfortable and carefree as possible.

Our stay included 6 adults and a 1 year old. The open floor plan was great for our family and our granddaughter had plenty of room to wander around. The kitchen was well stocked for preparing meals at-home, however, we like the local restaurants so much, we only stay in for breakfast and lunch and eat dinner out nightly. (Heck, momma is on vacation too!) Some of our favorite restaurants are Skull Creek Boathouse for seafood, Frankie Bones for steak, and One Hot Mama's for BBQ. My boys enjoy hanging out at the "triangle" by One Hot Mama's for the live music, watching games and having a late night drink.

The location is great, truly just a short walk to the beach. We rode our bikes daily to Harbor Town and Saltly Dog where I think all our co-workers now are able to wear Salty Dog Tee shirts! Every evening we enjoyed the hot tub, winding down from a day of bike riding, beaching, shopping, or just doing nothing at all! Hence the name, "Chateau Relaxo"! Book with confidence!

Perfect for our Family

Our family of 6 found Chateau Relaxo to be perfect for our needs. We enjoyed twice-daily swims in the pool, playing card games and reading books on the screened-in porch, and the easy access to the beach, Harbour Town and South Beach from a quiet, central-Sea Pines location. The house was very clean and comfortable with modern features and charming decorations. We enjoyed just being in the house so much that we only went out to eat once the entire week. The owner was very friendly and accommodating. Across the board, this listing exceeded our expectations.

Best HHI Rental in 9 Years

Could not ask for a better rental in HHI. The key word is "home". This is evident by the condition, decor, amenities and overall welcoming charm. The owner Kerry was so helpful, informative and professional - you could not be in better hands. We have stayed in HHI for the past 9 years and by far this was our most favorite home. The location is perfect - right on the bike path and not on a busy street. It affords you easy bike ride to the ocean, Harbor Town and South Beach. Having the bikes available along with the mule made the trips to the beach easy. One of the best things is the amount of sun the pool area gets - this is a rarity in Sea Pines. I also have to add that the kitchen was so well stocked with everything you need to be able to prepare meals and also it was the cleanest house that we have ever rented. We were just so pleased with our stay and will be coming back!!!!

Words can't express our stay at 17 Deer Run Lane. I wish I could upload pics. It was our first time vacationing in Hilton Head and so glad we followed our friends advise to stay in Sea Pines. We had two homes in Palmetto dunes on our list, but they just didn't seem like the perfect place. As mentioned before by our friends, Sea Pines is the place to be and 17 Deer Run Lane was the second home I came across on VRBO and so glad it was open during our week requested. Everything is in Sea Pines and 17 Deer Run Lane is in the perfect location~ I would say it was literally less then a two minute bike ride to the beach (you walk your bikes on the path next to black skimmer road~ Kerry provides you with all the maps).

So close to Harbor town and Salty dog. Kerry, has made sure the home is fully stocked and so clean. We brought a space shuttle type raft and Kerry even had adapters for the bike pump to blow up the raft. Even the small things are thought about. Absolutely a clean and beautiful home with so much privacy and next to the bike path (right next to home), Harbor town, beach and salty dog all by foot or bike. We highly recommend the Pirates of Hilton Head (Harbor Town), our 4.5 year old son LOVED it our seven year old son thought he was too old, but the crew made-sure to get him involved. My husband was tagged the "Flounder" prior to getting on the boat, little did he know he was going to have to sing and dance in front of everyone. We also did a two hour fishing boat tour (just our family) out of South beach (by salty dog on the Hobo boat). It was perfect to take our boys out on the sound and catch some Atlantic sharks. Frosty frogs is great! I will say it was just the four of us in the home & was perfect. So relaxing! We chose not to bring our parents or other guest. We wanted to go on our time and just relax with our two boys. I enjoyed running all thru sea pines even while my family rode their bikes. I will say it's not a place for your kids to learn how to ride bikes in certain areas on the bike path b/c it can be a bit crowded. We look forward to many more family vacations in Sea Pines and at 17 Deer Run Lane. We just need to do the "Disney trip:/" so we don't know if we will make it back next year, but definitely in our future. I have referred so many of our friends & family to 17 Deer Run Lane. We give it a A+++ vacation and couldn't have picked a better home for our family of four. Thanks again Kerry!
