Our C-1 lovely condo is a two story,' stand alone' two bedroom, 2 bathroom unit perched on the ocean bluff in Princeville, with ocean view and relaxing sounds of waves right from each bedroom and lanai. From the bluff you can see the expansive reefs and view the Kilauea lighthouse. The view from the kitchen window is of mountains and waterfalls. The condo is a non smoking, with ramp for handicap access and handicap friendly accommodations in master bathroom, fully furnished with washer and dryer, and is convenient to shopping, restaurants, golf courses, and other services. It is just a short drive to Hanalei Town and many world famous beaches.

During our vacation at Sealodge in 1996 we fell in love with Kauai. We purchased C-1 in 1998 and vacationed with our large family often. We love the island, the people and aloha feeling so much that we purchased a home in Kapaa, where we spend part of the year, the rest of the time we live in New Mexico. We can now offer the condo for others to enjoy and fall in love with Kauai as we did.
Anne Desiderio purchased this condo in 1998
The place was great - had stunning views of the ocean, conveniently located, large spacious rooms and a fully equipped kitchen.
Our only comments was that the place is a little dated - couches were not comfortable and the bed was very uncomfortable (we were on our honeymoon and had to sleep in the two separate single beds upstairs). Because it was so rainy and humid the place had a very musty smell and the carpets were quite smelly.
But a great place to stay with a little love it can be an amazing place to stay!
We stayed at this condo for about 6 weeks. The condo was very comfortable and clean and the high ceilings made it feel quite spacious. We especially enjoyed the amazing views from which we could watch whales breaching daily and on a few high surf days, surfers getting towed out to the big waves! We also appreciated that the condo felt quite private and quiet since its almost detached nature ensures no loud neighbors above or below you. Anne was also very helpful and quick to respond to questions. We are hoping to stay there again sometime soon and recommend it for couples or families.
We stayed in C1 the first few weeks of November 2012. The owner was nice, honest and timely in her responses to questions I had before departing for the condo. The condo was in decent shape. The entire complex is a little dated, so I'm not sure what the other ones looked like inside. Ours was clean and stocked with what we needed to spend 2 weeks there. Beach chairs, boogie boards, beach towels, snorkle gear etc. They even had a little charcoal grill and a crock pot (that I used to make hawaiian pulled pork believe it or not). It would be tough to stay with another couple, just because there are no doors anywhere with the two bedrooms. One is a loft (twin beds) and the queen is downstairs, right off the kitchen. Better for one couple with two kids. All and all it was a great place, we called it "home" when we were there instead of "the condo."
We just came back from celebrating our wedding anniversary and had a wonderful time in this well laid out and equipped condo. The views were incredible and the condo in great shape. Our only regret was that our vacation came to an end.The owners are a pleasure to work with, if we had anything to say about Sea Lodge and this applies to all the units, there are only charcoal barbecues, well laid out in a charming area on the property but slow cookers.
We can't wait to return, My husband is professional photographer and holds classes there, soooo I know it will not be too long. Some of the best sunrises can be seen from this location. Hope you enjoy it as much as we did.
My wife and I rented this unit for a year and truly enjoyed our stay. C-1 is one of the better places to stay in SeaLodge (SL), here's why.
First, it is an almost completely detached unit so there is no one above or below you. We've stayed in other units at SL and you can definitely hear the folks above and sometimes below you. No neighbor noise issues.
Second, the two bedroom/two bath setup is nice even there are only two of you. These places are small and the one bedroom units can get cramped even for a romantic get-away.
Third, nice tall (vaulted) ceilings, almost all of the one-bedroom places are normal ceilings.
Fourth, the unit is set slightly back from the bluff and the D building. Why is this good when some units have more expansive views? Because you can use the lanai. When the trade winds pick up (they blow from the east), you won't be eating on your lanai if you are facing them but you can in this unit. A visiting friend stayed in an east-facing unit and was disappointed because he never was able to really use the lanai.
Fifth, this unit has a washer/dryer. Not all the units in SL and Princeville do, and you'll want the dryer after a day at the beach.
Lastly, the price was right, good rates from the owner.
SL is general is a great place to stay and the best bang for your buck in Princeville. The blue tour book rates it as a "solid gold value" and they are right. C-1 is not as updated as some of the other units but we had a great time there. The owners are great to work with.
