Our house is a charming cottage located on a quiet street in the heart of the Golden Rectangle. This home is 4 blocks from the beautiful Carmel Beach and 7 blocks from Ocean Avenue which has lovely shops and fabulous restaurants. The kitchen has been recently updated.. The master bathroom has been completely re-modeled. 2 wood burning fireplaces keep you warm and cozy.

Carmel by the Sea is a wonderful place to visit. Close to the beach and close to a delightful shopping area, great restaurants, golf courses, wine tasting - it's the perfect place to spend some time.

Our family has been vacationing in Carmel for a number of years and as a result, we have come to know the area and its lodging options quite well. We have stayed in this wonderful home for the past few years - the house is ideal for both family retreats and adult only stays. The home is as advertised; it's very well appointed, comfortable, very clean and conveniently located to Carmel's beach, shops and restaurants. We particularly appreciate the outstanding location - makes for convenient long runs and walks along the water front. The owners have been great to work with and very responsive to any special needs and/or requests. You're unlikely to find a better place to call home in Carmel!

Our family arrived in Carmel after a long weekend at Santa Clara University for my son's graduation. The cottage is appointed beautifully! From the beautiful decor to the well-equipped kitchen, the owner goes beyond in service and quality. The owner's service and follow-up was exceptional and made it very easy from start to finish. We spent time walking the area; shopping and finding great restaurants in Carmel. Golf at Pebble Beach was one of the highlights! We would highly recommend this cottage!

Cozy Cottage for a Getaway Weekend in Carmel

My family and I just got back from an Easter weekend getaway in Carmel and thoroughly enjoyed our stay at "Sound of the Surf". We laughed, BBQ'd, enjoyed great beach walks together, and poking in shops on Ocean Ave. Carmel, is such a charming town and "Sound of the Surf" is a cozy cottage to spend a fun weekend away.

I would absolutely stay at "Sound of the Surf" again the house is great for cooking dinners in and is conveniently located only a few blocks from the beach and town. A big thanks to Beth and Chris for opening up their home to us. We hope to make it an annual visit.
