It is a front unit, only 30 feet from the water. It is a short walk to Maalaea Boat Harbor and the Village where shopping, fine restaurants, ocean activities and the Maui Aquarium, the number one tourist attraction on Maui, await you.
Our Maui home features 2 bedrooms, each with its own bath. 22' FLATSCREEN TV WITH DVD PLAYER IN THE MASTER BEDROOM! There is also a dining room, living room, fully-supplied kitchen, and a lanai with breathtaking views of the ocean directly in front of the unit. It is equipped with a king sized bed in the master bedroom, two twins in the front bedroom, and the couch makes into a queen sized bed. There is a large flatscreen television, VCR, DVD player, Air-Conditioning, Ice Maker, cooking utensils, Dishwasher, Washer and Dryer micro-wave, blender, automatic coffee maker and much more. All linens and towels are provided. There are even beach towels for your use. Smoking is not allowed in the unit or the lanai!
On the grounds there is a heated pool, bar-b-ques, plenty of lounge chairs and miles of sandy beach to walk on, with a wildlife refuge opposite the water. It is very private and secluded, no traffic noise like Kehei rentals. Palm trees and tropical plants abound on the property. Activities include: Swimming, snorkeling, surfing, boogie boarding, whale watching, shopping, dining, sightseeing, ocean activities, miniature golf, several world class golf courses, windsurfing, parasailing, hiking and much more.
NOTE OUR PRICES AND COMPARE! Remember that this unit is a corner, beachfront and directly on the ocean. Compare with rentals in other parts of the building, further from the water and with limited views.

We looked at several locations throughout Maui, and chose Maalaea because it is centrally located, has spectacular views, and has miles of sandy beach for walking, snorkeling, surfing, boogie boarding, and swimming.
We've stayed at Kana'i A Nalu several times (we visit Maui every April) and have enjoyed staying in different units. However, this one has THE VERY BEST VIEW, PRIVACY, and NOISE LEVEL out of ALL of them! It's a top floor, ocean front (absolutely nothing but a beachfront view out of the window) and at the corner of the building AWAY from the pool- which means totally quiet except for the crashing waves! It has ever amenity that you could want- beach chairs, boogie boards, sand toys, etc. Also- I really appreciated that the owners leave leftover (shelf stable) food items from previous tenants (olive oil, vinegar, condiments, rice, flour, sugar, etc.) Every other condo that we've stayed at in this building DOES NOT do this. It was a huge help to have these food items handy. We traveled with our baby and rented all baby items from http://www.akamaimothers.com/ . They deliver & pick-up the baby items! Our pack-n-play, booster seat and beach cabana were waiting at the front door upon our arrival!
Our family of four just returned from a fabulous trip to Hawaii which culminated in Maui. We stayed in this lovely beach front condo. This was our first time using VRBO, so we didn't know what to expect. However, as we walked through the front door, we realized that we had made an excellent choice. The entire condo was beautifully decorated, spacious and very clean. Many of the appliances were new. It’s centrally located which made our drive to see the sunrise on Haleakala that much quicker. The views from the lanai are stunning. One morning we watched a family of whales frolicking in the bay. You are right on the beach with no traffic noise; just the sound of waves. This corner unit provided everything we were looking for in a condo. Barbara was great to deal with and responded promptly to all of our emails. Thanks for sharing your condo with us!
My husband and I agree that this is surely one of the best designed condos we've seen. Add to that the absolutely stunning view which reaches from Makena Beach all the way around to the lighthouse, on the other side of the vast Maalaea Bay. Since it's an end unit on the top floor, the master has side windows which expand the view (and cross breezes) significantly. The decor is beautifully tropical in feeling, without being Hawaiian Kitche. There are a number of lovely sculpted pieces...metal, wood, pottery, ceramic and glass, as well as strategically placed mirrors that definitely bring the "outside in". But WHAT an outside!!! The ocean RIGHT THERE! I've never seen a condo built so close to the Ocean. I marvel at the amount of Oceanographic and Geographic research the architects must have done prior to building. And perhaps the most exceptional part is that even with the openness, the amount of total privacy is astonishing. With a top floor unit in only a 4 story condo...you can see the palm trees swaying (take THAT you Kaanapali multi-stories!), and the few units to the other side sit further back from the beach and have almost no windows facing this direction. The condo, which was built, I believe, in the 80's has been totally updated with brand new stove/oven, microwave, french door refrigerator with icemaker, and a high-efficiency washer & dryer. Cable TV n both the LR & MBR. Everything you need is here, including a complete revolving spice rack. You can walk the beach almost to Makena,..or at least to Kihei (depending upon your level of fitness)! There is an elevator that you can use to bring up luggage & groceries..so even for us mid-'70's folks, the unit is easily accessible. There are boogie boards & fins in the closet, easy access to several restaurants in the area...and even the drive into Kahului or Kihei is only 10 minutes or so. My husband and I lived on Oahu for almost 20 years, and have been to Maui many times, but this is our first stay in this area. For us, this is the PLACE!
This was our second stay at this wonderful condo and it definitely won't be our last. It is the the best unit in the complex.
While this condo is centrally located and a great base from which to explore Maui, you will be hard pressed to find a better place to enjoy the coastline. You are literally right on the water here and, unlike many of the complexes listed in this area, there are miles of white sand to walk on.
Sitting on the lani in this 4th floor unit is great for watching surfers and passing boats. This trip we were twice visited by turtles who came to play in the waves just below us.
Another perfect stay on Maui and at your condo. Can't believe I've been staying at your unit on my visits to Maui since March of 2009! It's a perfect place to relax, unwind, and forget about the work world.
I so appreciate the atmosphere there. It feels like home every time I stay. The view is breathtaking, and the lanai is perfect for relaxing with a book or just sitting and watching the whales, turtles, boarders, sunrises and sunsets. The unit has everything that's needed to be comfortable.
Although a lot of the island was shrouded in clouds and had bouts of rain, the weather at the condo was perfect. Only had the Maui mist one morning, and the rest of the time was sunny and nice. It's a great location.

I have stayed at 7 different locations on Maui over the last 11 years and just experienced my first stay in #420. THIS is my last stop, my always place now whenever I return to Maui. The location is superb, the sweeping view spectacular and the sand beach just steps away is perfect for sunning and water activity. Maalaea can be windy and some of the days and nights were extra breezy; however the deck sits at just the right angle and the wind was never a problem. Maalaea is perfect for me because our son and daughter-in-law live just two buildings away. Great for quick visits or long lazy breakfasts. But I would stay here regardless of their proximity, I love it that much!!
#420 is clean, well maintained and welcoming. Anything and everything you could want is supplied in the kitchen and linen closets. The appliances all work well and I especially appreciated this as I love to cook! My favorite thing was just to relax on the deck with a glass of wine and good books, snacks optional!!! My husband is not a fan of tropical climates, so this is my special time each year for a "just me" break. It is SO great to know just where to book, no more searching for my "best spot!"

Condo sits on one street of condos with restaurants, shops, Aquarium, just a walk down the street from the complex. We are about 6 miles from the Kahului airport and between 17-19 miles from Kaanapali Beach. Our condo is directly facing the Ocean with an awesome view! Sit on the lanai and you could throw a rock and hit the ocean!
