Tropical Oasis- New Villa, Large private pool, Sea Views, surrounded by gardens

Dolphin House is in a lovely, gated community, about a 25 minute drive from Willemstad. The sweeping sea view, infinity pool and landscaping are lovely, and the privacy the house affords very peaceful. Nice main room opens to large covered lanai and the pool--we left the sliding doors open at all times, so the indoors and outdoors are one. There's almost always a refreshing breeze. Well-equipped kitchen and gas grill--we happily cooked in most evenings, in part because nearest restaurants are a bit of a drive away. Two bedrooms, both with AC, and two very nice baths, which was a real luxury. We enjoyed the beaches at Porto Marie, Cas Abou, Kalki and Dai Booi--they are quite crowded and you pay both to park and for chairs/umbrellas, but all have nice facilities and restaurants or at least snack bars. Snorkling is excellent at all of these, as are the birds and lizards. Willemstad is a very interesting town, historically, architecturally and culturally--try to go on a day when the big cruise ships are NOT in town and you'll encounter no crowds. In all, this is a lovely retreat on a beautiful, friendly island.

We did very much enjoy the house and the island--the surroundings are just lovely and you have done a fabulous job with the pool and landscaping. We cooked at "home" most evenings, and found the kitchen very well equipped. Heidi was very helpful with directions and advice. We enjoyed the beaches at Porto Marie, Cas Abou, Dai Booi and Kalki, were amazed by the varieties of birds and lizards, and spent a couple of fun days exploring Willemstad, which we found a really intriguing city. All in all, a very nice trip--thanks!

Dolphin House – Curacao


The first thing you will notice when walking into this stunning house is the beautiful vista that draws you out the massive (~30 feet) back sliding doors to a most relaxing infinity pool. This pool just begs you to come in and cool off; enjoy an adult beverage of your choice, even smoke a cigar, as I did!

Heidi was great in her duties as the local contact; very responsive, whenever needed, which was almost never.

That back lanai is to die for, the sunsets were awesome and the full moon was spectacular, magnificent and majestic. I could sit and stare at the pool and ocean view for hours and drift away my thoughts. What a very relaxing venue. This house has an unique ability to strip away your layers of stress in a very short time… we just loved it, We’ll be back!!! We assume that the TV works, but never turned it on to find out if that is true. The full kitchen is awesome; the bedroom cools down very quickly and quietly. Open the front door to get the best breeze flowing…

I would label this house: Tranquility Bay, here in Earth!

The gated community provided a great sense of security in this crazy, mixed up world we live in today.

The only thing I would change: suggested minimum stay MUST be one month!!! You will not be sorry.
