We love the serenity of the beautiful North Georgia mountains. A mountain house along the river had been a dream for ours for some time; a place close to home where we could relax and enjoy with our family and friends.

We chose to buy our vacation home, River Vista, in the Coosawattee River Resort for several reasons. The first reason was the beauty of the area and in particular, the Coosawattee River. It is a very tranquil setting where we feel completely relaxed. Secondly is the proximity to the Atlanta metro area. It takes us just over an hour from our home to River Vista. Lastly, there are many things to do within the resort as well as the surrounding, quaint towns.

My sister and I along with our husbands rented this "cabin" for a long weekend in October. What a wonderful setting. The home was beautiful and amazing. We loved the location - you feel like you are the only one around but you are actually not too far from town. We spent most of our time down by the river just listening to the peace and quiet of the river and roasting hot dogs over the fire. The inside of the cabin is just as pictured. The decorating is beautiful and we loved all the bears everywhere. We saw deer every time we left the cabin going into and coming back from town. Would highly recommend this rental and hope to return.
My family and I enjoyed our four days at River Vista so much!! It was far beyond our expectations! The cabin was fully equipped and furnished for you to feel like you were right at home. My grandchildren just loved the little bears all around...my granddaughter even referred to the bears on the children's beds to 'her bears' and asked for them each night at bedtime. My heart was just warmed! The family photos all around made us all feel welcome and like part of the family.
We loved exploring down by the river, with my grandson getting in a little fishing. The scenery there was perfect!
We also enjoyed visiting downtown Ellijay and Blueridge, which are just a few minutes away.
And above all, we really appreciated the owners communication, information and hospitality. We would highly recommend this property! We will certainly plan another visit in the near future!
This cabin was just as pictured. It was very clean and well kept. We had everything that we needed. The owners were extremely helpful with any questions about the area. The kids loved just going downstairs and relaxing in the river. They also loved the deer that would pass by in the evening. The driveway was extremely steep though but we got used to it. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.
House was much better than expected. More room than expected. Had a great time tubing on the river. There's a great path that you can walk on to put in your tube right near the house and float down past the house and walk back on a path. A good 20-30 minute ride with the best rapids on the river.
The driveway... An experience in itself. Not much can be done about that but the house makes up for it. Saw lots of deer near the house and all around the resort.
Family, friends, & I just returned from our 2 night stay @ River Vista and we must say that the property exceeded expectations. Location, furnishings, decor, and cleanliness distinguish this property truly as a luxury stay; no "roughin' it" here. Owners were very thorough and a pleasure to do business with. Looking forward to returning to River Vista in the fall.
Our family celebrated birthday of our grandson and the new year at River Vista. There were absolutely NO disasppointments here. The accomodations were perfect for our family of 7; plenty of room for rest, eating and playing. Owners have provided the best quality of everything from very nice linens to top of the line china/silverware. Plenty of cook ware. Fire pit was fun to sit around and roast our marshmellows. So much laughter!! You can tell from the time you enter, this place has been well planned and filled with lots of love. Owners are exceptionally pleasant and available while plannng our retreat. We will return!
