Located on a quiet street in the picturesque Crystal View Estates above Glendale, our studio bedroom (with spacious bath) is attached to a private residence and offers a basic, economical lodging for the busy tourist in Southern California. Fast food restaurants, grocery stores, supermarkets, and coffee shops are all less than a mile away. A fifteen-minute drive from downtown Los Angeles and Hollywood, our studio provides a central location for visiting Southern California's landmarks, attractions, and tourist destinations. It is especially close to the Verdugo and San Gabriel Mountains, the Angeles Crest mountain range, and the world-famous Mount Wilson Observatory. All in all, our Los Angeles studio is ideal for the tourist on a budget, for the travel mates on a sightseeing trip, or for the traveler looking for a perfect starting-off point to discover Los Angeles and Southern California.

In our studio bedroom, you are a 15-minute drive from downtown Los Angeles, 20 minutes from Universal Studios Theme Park, 25 minutes from the Sunset Strip and Hollywood Boulevard, about 40 minutes from Santa Monica and the Venice Beach Boardwalk, a short 20-minute drive from Magic Mountain, and about one hour from Disneyland. Historic Olvera Street, Chinatown, the Hollywood Bowl, the Ford Theater, Griffith Park (hiking and riding trails), the LA Zoo and the Griffith Observatory are also just minutes away as well. A 20-minute drive will bring you to trendy Melrose Boulevard, just minutes from the heart of Beverly Hills, for shopping and sight-seeing. LAX (International Airport) is about 35 minutes away. A car is recommended for tourism in Los Angeles, and especially in our tucked-away location, a car will prove necessary.

Clean and quiet...

My friend and I enjoyed out stay here. Our hosts were very nice and it allowed us to come and go as we pleased. Easily accessible to everywhere we wanted to go, and the only complaint we have is that the hot tub was not available for use. Here in the Midwest a hot tub is used year round. Other than that, we would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to those traveling. Thanks again! ~AM

Great area to get away from the city noise

My daughter and I stayed in this great studio apartment right before Christmas. The owners were very nice and had everything that may be needed for us there on arrival. Had microwave, Cable TV, Internet and a little fridge plus a great bathroom and nook for storing stuff. Loved being so close to Hollywood but so far away from the noise and traffic. The local area has many great places to eat, supermarkets and take away food. Could not fault the studio, it was really clean and modern with two single beds a huge mirror and a cupboard to hang some clothes. Out the back had a great view over the town. Access to a lot of different highways was great and let us navigate around the greater LA area quiet easily most days only taking us twenty minutes to reach the hollywood tourist areas. Pasadena was quite close and found ourselves there for dinner a couple of times. We felt very safe and had the choice of parking our car in the driveway or on the footpath and choice the footpath most days for convenience (never had any issues the street is very safe). I will choose to stay here anytime I come back to LA as it was a nice little place to call home for the week and I found it convenient and our host very welcoming.

Great Hideaway!

We loved staying in Paul and Micheal's studio. It is in a great location, quiet and private, and has a fabulous view. My daughter and I had to be in town for work as she is an actress and it was close and convenient to everything we needed. The next time we are in town, we would definitely try to stay here again! I actually miss our little hideaway!

The great little studio

I went to L.A. by miself and as it was the first time for me in the States I felt a kind of "lost" sometimes. But staying in this studio was just the right thing to do! The owners are so helpfull and nice and always there in case I needed some information or advise. Besides that the area is peacefull and the studio so cozy and with the Jacuzzy which in summer time really helps! I strongly recomemnd this solution to anybody wants to enyoj L.A. and feel like at home!

Peaceful and Quiet Studio

My husband and I visited Los Angeles for the first time and stayed in this lovely studio bedroom. The location was very peaceful, nestled in the hills above Los Angeles. We went sightseeing during the days and were happy every evening returning to our little home away from home. The view from the backyard is gorgeous and we ate breakfast every morning in the backyard. It felt like we weren't even in a big city even though we were just fifteen minutes from downtown and Hollywood. The studio was cozy and it was the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of Los Angeles. And the price can't be beat. We highly recommend this location for the busy tourist looking for peace and quiet at night.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Adventure Seekers, Sightseeing, Romantic Getaway
