Photos and Description of the St Ignace vacation cabin rental
4 bedrooms, 3 full baths, walk in tiled showers, 1 half bath, sleeps up to 13.

The Wildwood Cabin is a stunning, 3,000 sf custom log home once featured on the cover of Log Home Living Magazine, with 120' of private Lake Michigan frontage in the Upper Peninsula. Available for rent year round, it will be your own private paradise, ideal for the entire family, company outings, a fairytale wedding, or a quiet, romantic couples getaway.

It sleeps up to 13 guests comfortably, has superb custom furnishings through out, hardwood floors, granite countertops, custom made burled juniper beds, and much more. Seventy-five steps to the private, sandy shores of Lake Michigan. Only 15 minutes from the Mackinac Bridge, makes an easy trip to the Mackinac Island, St. Ignace and Petoskey. Other nearby attractions include Les Cheneaux Islands, Tahquamenon Falls, the Soo Locks, Whitefish Point, the Pictured Rocks, Lake Huron, Lake Superior and Hiawatha National Park.

Scuba dive ship wrecks in the Straits of Mackinac: The Straits of Mackinac is one of the best locations in the world to explore lost ships. Dive up to 13 ship wreck sites that range from wooden schooners & barges to a 588 foot steel freighter, the Cedarville.

Cruises: There are many different cruises offered in the Straits of Mackinac area. Cruise beneath the mighty Mackinac Bridge, around Mackinac Island, past historic lighthouses and along scenic coastlines, to name just a few. Shepler's Ferry offers a sunset cruise will take you through the Straits of Mackinac and includes a narrated tour near the Round Island Lighthouse near Mackinac Island, the Old Mackinaw Point Lighthouse, and Colonial Michilimackinac, then take in the spectacular Lake Michigan sunset under the Mackinac Bridge. Refreshments are available to purchase during the cruise.

For more information, contact Shepler's, Arnold's, or Star Line Ferry.

Tahquamenon Falls: The Upper falls is one of the largest waterfalls east of the Mississippi, with a drop of nearly 50 feet, spreading 200 feet across. A maximum flow of more than 50,000 gallons of water per second has been recorded surging over its impressive rock face.

The Upper Falls is also the location of the Tahquamenon Falls Brewery and Pub. What a great way to grab a little refreshment after a long day of nature walks. The Pub’s main attractions include a long rustic bar at the entrance and a functioning Micro Brewery. They also serve a wide variety of appetizers and entrees including whitefish, steak and shrimp.

Four miles downstream you will find the Lower Falls, a series of five smaller falls cascading around an island and forming a small lake where you can rent rowboats.

Plan on spending the afternoon exploring the nature trails that run between the upper and lower falls. The trails offer great landscape for hiking, backpacking, fishing, canoeing, nature study and photography.

To begin with, Ryan and Julie are the most accommodating hosts and truly wonderful people.
The cottage is breathtakingly beautiful, to say the least. It is a perfect blend of contemporary meets country charm and every nook and corner of it has been planned and designed to such detail that even when I was checking out of there, I was still discovering new things about the cottage.
We spent 2 nights at Wildwood, being a group of 12, the space was perfect. The cottage is well laid out. The kitchen comes with all the modern day appliances and is very well equipped. The bedrooms and bathrooms are luxurious, to say the least. Then, there is the beautiful backyard where you can spend hours, admiring the lake view or just take the flight of stairs down to the beach and you're in heaven.
All in all, it was a fantastic stay. Extremely comfortable and I would recommend Wildwood Cabin to everyone who's hitting the UP area, it is a must, if you are looking out for a luxurious holiday.

PS- 2 nights was a little too less to stay at Wildwood Cabin!!

Wildwood Cabin

Our Wright Family of 13 had a wonderful one week stay at Wildwood Cabin. The layout gave us plenty of space for 9 adults and 4 children. The beauty of the cabin both inside and out was more than we expected, including the lovely landscaping and fire pit on the lake side of the cabin. The entire residence was very clean and inviting. The owner was responsive and helpful with any questions or concerns we had. We would definitely recommend Wildwood Cabin to anyone who wants to explore and enjoy the treasures of Michigan. The weather was perfect and we played in the waves of Lake Michigan and walked along her shores. (Water shoes helped protect tender feet from the rocks when swimming.) Water toys and beach chairs were plentiful.
We enjoyed the pies, ice cream and pasties from the local shop. The owners were helpful and directed us on a nature hike to Brevort Lake. We did our main
grocery shopping at Glen's in St. Ignace, a neat little town.
Tourist sites were easily visited from the cabin. We took the ferry to Mackinac Island, drove to Tahquamenon Falls and would recommend a rowboat ride there.
We drove to Whitefish Point and put our feet in Lake Superior. One family also
explored the Mystery Spot!
On the day we left, our granddaughter asked if we could come back some day
to Wildwood Cabin. We hope to do so!

Beautiful cabin that makes us wish we lived in St. Ignace. A bit pricey but very luxurious. Discount earlier review about traffic noise- an occasional truck was all we heard. Nicely stocked with things I thought I would have to provide- condiments, paper towel, garbage bags, laundry soap. The water and beach really sell the place as well as the good personal service from the owners. Make sure you hit Java Joe's when in St. Ignace- we loved that place! Overall, a wonderful stay. Where can I buy those adorable lamps with cracking fireplace??? :)

This is a spectacular, first-rate log home complete with all those little details that really make it unique and special. The owners of this property are kind, caring people who went out of their way to make our visit everything we wanted - and much more. We will never forget this. The beds are wonderful, the showers are huge, the kitchen is state-of-the-art, the property is well-groomed and secluded despite having houses on either side, and the private beach is stunning. The walk to and from the beach may appear daunting, but it's not. In fact, it's quite easy to maneuver. And there's a terrific little pasty/goodie/ice cream shop right across from the home's driveway! If you're looking for first class, quiet, breathtaking comfort, this is your place. The views of Lake Michigan from this home can't be topped. We're already looking for a way to go back.
