It is possible to go by ferry to Jersey in the Channel Islands from Carteret and Granville during the summer season and all year round from St Malô. The popular tourist attractions of the WWII D Day Landing Beaches, the Bayeux Tapestry and the famous Abbey at Le Mont St Michel are all within an easy 30-90 minute drive away. Paris and sophisticated Deauville are accessible by train or car.
The self catering accommodation comprises an enormous living room/dining hall with huge, working fireplace (logs are included), stone clad walls, beamed ceilings, tapestry, 2 x three seater sofas, occasional day bed, TV, DVD player, dining table and chairs. An archway from the living room leads to the newly fitted kitchen which has an electric hob and oven, fridge, double bowl stainless steel sink, microwave, kitchen table and chairs. Between the living room and the downstairs bedroom is another large room with large fireplace, leading through to a hallway with sep. wc and door to Bedroom 1 which has a double bed (140 cm), twin wash basins, and en suite shower.
On the first floor, which is approached via the tower, there are three other bedrooms all of a good size and full of character.
Bedroom 2 has two single beds (80cms wide), sofa/bed settee and a television – ideal for children.
Bedroom 3 has two large antique single beds (110cms wide), ensuite bathroom (bath, washbasin, wc)
Bedroom 4 has a double bed (140cms wide), wardrobe, chest of drawers and large granite fireplace. Bathroom (bath, washbasin, wc).
Outside there is a large garden area with table, chairs and BBQ. Plenty of parking space and garaging for 2 cars. Ideal area for bikes. Washing machine facilities.
