Our cottage is family owned and shared. We are there many weekends ourselves and keep the house and property in pristine condition. We ask the same of our renters. We hope you enjoy your stay!
Natalie purchased this bungalow in 2005
Our family stayed from July 27th to August 3rd 2014. Contrary to a previous reviewer we knew that the cottage was in a somewhat residential area, paved road, etc. That was perfect for us and it is in a great spot, very close to many amenities. Great view of the lake, excellent interior with modern bathrooms, all you could want in the kitchen. VERY clean upon arrival. Bonus was the "bunky" which our guests could use, also very clean with full bath and a fridge as well, slept four easily. We enjoyed our stay very much and would return. Restaurant Note: DO go to Hot Stacks for breakfast or brunch it is really outstanding! About a 20 minute drive.
Only complaint: The BBQ is very old and needs to be replaced - it was also very dirty/soiled from previous use, took us half an hour to clean it, we certainly left it in better shape than we found it!, outdoor kitchen is not useable, dirty and in disrepair.
We stayed in this wonderful property for three weeks in the summer of 2013. The description on the website very accurately depicts what is available. There was a lot of space for 2 adults and 4 children. Anything that we could possible need in the kitchen was there. It is very conveniently located close to shops, etc. and an easy drive to the highway. The owners have created a relaxing, clean space perfect for a family vacation. Thanks for sharing it!
8 of us went for a weekend.
pros: -clean rooms
-backyard right on water.
-close to city
cons: this is not a cottage. This is a house that happens to back on lake simcoe. This is not mentioned on the website. This is a residential area. Neighbors are very close together. No privacy whatsoever. For that reason, the price for a weekend is WAY too high. It should only be $500.00. Canoe was not available, even though it mentions it on website. Deck was not set up. Neighbors complained about noise at 7 pm. Early morning noise can be heard from neighbors, doing their lawns, construction etc.,
We had a good time overall however, I recommend this place as a last resort. Would not go back.
Had a great stay with my wife and 2 friends for x-country skiing at Hardwood Hills. The cottage is right on the lake with a great room to view the sunrise. The kitchen was fully equipped beyond expectations.
In a quiet neighbourhood, handy to the village, Barrie is a short drive away for a larger selection of restaurants, etc.
Will definitely stay again if we need somewhere to stay for a few days in the area.
We had a great time at this cottage, fully enjoyed our stay. Completly outfitted, just bring your clothes and food. The outdoor kitchen is great for breakfast and dinner. All comforts required are there. I will definetly look into renting again in the summer.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here for the week - beautiful location, private, sandy bottom on the lake, cottage is immaculate inside and has all the amenities of home and more. The air conditioning was very much appreciated during the heat wave we experienced. Having three refrigerators was a bonus to store lots of drinks for the hot weather. Also appreciated WIFI - kept everyone happy.
Would definitely recommend to others and we look forward to returning in the future.
Several marinas close by offering boat rentals; Innisfil Beach Park within walking distance; snowmobile and cross-country ski trails
