I am a longtime Berkeley resident, retired, who enjoys travel, exercise, film, bridge, my children and grandchildren. The photo was taken during a recent trip with my younger son. Now that my children are grown I have room to spare (my beautiful in-law flat) for visitors to our beautiful Bay Area.
Barbara purchased this apartment in 2002
This rental is an in-law unit attached to my home.
This is my home and I am lucky to live in the beautiful San Francisco Bay Area.
When we found this listing it sounded like the perfect place to stay in Berkeley. And it was. The flat was very clean, well-maintained, and downright charming! Amenities were great and beautiful! Barbara graciously provided a welcome basket of foods and beverage; cupboards were stocked with basic everyday items too. Near everything; neighborhood shopping, Salano Avenue, and even Berkeley if you are an avid walker. We greatly enjoyed the neighborhood bread store and farmer's market. We look forward to the time when we can stay again at this elegant North Berkeley flat.

I'll be the first to review this adorable cozy place. The flat is situated in North Berkley hills. As you drive down the hills you will see San Francisco across the bay. Conveniently located near Zachary's Pizza, a local favorite Chicago deep dish pizza place. Just to give you an idea where you are in Berkeley. We really enjoyed the flat and the owners thought of every detail to make our stay perfect. First Barbara mentioned we are welcome to the snacks the flat is stocked with. I thought of nothing about it, until after my hike at Mt Diablo that I truly appreciated her hospitality of delicious organic crackers and cheeses, the sweetest orange and grapes ever tasted. I am assuming they must be organic too. Besides the wonderful welcome tray, I loved peeking through the trees to watch the deers and beautiful blue birds in the trees. It is woodsy and you are high in the trees, however, entering from the street you do walk down a beautiful Asian theme landscape garden. It was a nice treat to get away from the UC Berkeley hassle and bustle. I highly recommend parents who are visiting or dropping off a son/daughter to stay here. Now I just gave away my secret. GO BEARS! Thank you Barbara for a wonderful weekend.
