The holiday settlement “Rubersbach” is situated aside and above the village on a nice southern slope. Marked footpaths begin directly in front of the house. The house was built at the side of a mountain with a fantastic view. Behind the house, there is the edge of the forest. It has a big terrace with garden chairs, a table and a barbecue. Moreover, there is a balcony next to the bedrooms. The dwelling space is about 76 sqm. The house is qualified for 6 persons. It’s a non smoking house. The house is furnished in a friendly way for children. Amongst some toys and games there is a special chair for little kids. In winter, the nature entices you to make extensive walks through the snow. Two toboggans, which can be used for your trips through the snow, are also available.

  • For shorter stays (less than 7 days) we charge you with the following surcharges: 10% for 3-4 nights, 5% for 5-6 nights. Extra costs are charged according to the consumption (electricity: EUR 0,43/kWh, gas: EUR 0,87/cbm, water: EUR 4,60/cbm). Visitors’ tax must be paid in compliance with the actual local schedule of fees directly to the town administration. Pets cost EUR 3,00 per pet and per day. For the cleaning of the house at the end of your stay we will charge you with EUR 30,00.
  • The above mentioned prices are for 1-2 persons. For more than 2 persons there are higher charges. Low season: 3-4 persons EUR 45, 5-6 persons EUR 55 / shoulder season: 3-4 persons EUR 52, 5-6 persons EUR 64 / peak season: 3-4 persons EUR 64, 5-6 persons EUR 78.

Short presentation of Hornberg: 360-1000 m above sea level in the central Black Forest in the Gutach valley. Situated on the Black Forest railway (Interregio-stop Kassel-Konstanz and E-train-stop Offenburg-Konstanz), on the Federal Highway 33 Offenburg-Konstanz and on the 'German Street of Clocks'. Situated on the long-distance footpaths Pforzheim-Basel (West way), Pforzheim-Waldshut (middle way) and Lahr-Rottweil (cross way). Attribute: officially certified health resort. Climate: well-balanced highlands climate, healthy for the heart, the circulatory and the lungs.

Sights: Castle ruin of the Middle Ages, evangelic town parish church with late medieval choir and frescos, train viaduct of the Black Forest train over the Reichenbach valley, section of the Black Forest train between Hornberg and St. Georgen with 36 tunnels and a lot of loops, open-air stage, Black Forest exhibition of mushrooms, natural science path, collection of minerals, watch museum in Triberg, doll museum in Triberg, Tribergs waterfalls, glassworks Wolfach, open-air museum Vogtsbauernhöfe.

Ski: Cross-country ski runs are situated at Fohrenbühl, Tennenbronn, Schonach and Schönwald. Drive between 6 - 12 km. The nearest ski-lifts and ski-runs are in Schonach, Schonach-Rohrhardsberg and Schönwald.

schönes einfaches Ferienhaus mit super Ausblick

Die Ausstattung:
- Die Beschreibung das Hauses passt (außer dass, ein Hinweis über die Anzahl der Treppen zum Haus fehlt; es sind 42 Stück).
- Die Ausstattung ist zwar recht einfach, aber mehr als ausreichend für einen Urlaub und es war alles Nötige vorhanden.
- Das dritte Schlafzimmer ist allerdings sehr klein und dunkel (Fenster liegt auf der Hangseite).
- Das Haus war bei Ankunft sauber.
- Die Verwalterin hat vor Ankunft schon die Heizung angestellt, so dass es angenehm warm war. Da die Zähler erst bei unserer Ankunft abgelesen wurden, war das "Vorwärmen" nicht in unseren Verbrauchskosten enthalten.
- Da bei uns weder vorher noch nachher Mieter kamen, konnten wir die Ankunft nach Absprache gestalten.
- Fragen vor dem Urlaub wurden schnell und freundlich beantwortet.

Die Umgebung:
- Vom Haus hat man einen sehr schönen Blick.
- Die Schwarzwaldgästekarte beinhaltet die öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel in vielen Schwarzwaldgebieten. Auf diese Weise kann man die Gegend gut erkunden.
- Der Bahnhof ist zu Fuß über verschiedene Wege gut erreichbar.
- Die Stadt kann auch zu Fuß erreicht werden.
- In der Nähe des Hauses verlaufen auch mehrere beschilderte Wanderwege.

Das Haus teilt sich den Eingang mit dem Nachbarhaus. Um ins Haus zu gelangen, müssen ca. 50 Stufen bewältigt werden; also Koffer rauf schleppen bei der Ankunft und das Gleiche nochmal bei der Abreise! Keine Beleuchtung bei den Treppen vorhanden. Nur eine kleine Funzel beleuchtet den Eingangsbereich. Keine Abstellmöglichkeit für den Pkw vorhanden; der Pkw muss auf der Strasse vor dem Haus stehen, falls überhaupt ein Platz frei ist. Im Winter ist das Haus überhaupt nicht bewohnbar, da eiskalt. Zu wenige Heizkörper vorhanden; im Hauseingang überhaupt kein Heizkörper. Die Gasheizung läuft andauernd; die Heizkosten können den Mietpreis übersteigen. Das Haus ist überhaupt nicht empfehlenswert. Achtung bei der Ablesung der Zähler bei der Ankunft.
Owner's Response: Das Haus wurde exakt so vorgefunden, wie im Internet beschrieben. Über 14 Jahre vermieten wir nun das Ferienhaus und haben bislang nur positive Stimmen erhalten (siehe im Haus ausliegendes Gästebuch). Wir haben treue Stammgäste, die uns bereits über 6 Jahre immer wieder besuchen. Dies ist ein Indikator dafür, dass unser Haus alle Annehmlichkeiten für einen erholsamen und angenehmen Urlaub bietet.

Es handelt sich um ein freistehendes Haus mit eigenem Eingang. Lediglich den ersten Teil der Treppe teilt sich das Haus mit dem Nachbarn. Dann zweigen die Wege ab. Es müssen exakt 42 Stufen bewältigt werden. Das belebt Geist und Seele und spart den teuren Eintritt ins Fitnessstudio. Wenn man das herrliche Panorama von der Terrasse bzw. aus dem Fenster des Wohnzimmers sieht, so lohnt sich das Treppensteigen allemal. Die Treppe ist im oberen Bereich durch die am Haus angebrachte Beleuchtung erhellt. Von der unteren Seite gibt eine Straßenlaterne hell. Die Helligkeit ist ausreichend, um unbeschadet zum Haus zu gelangen. Eine Flutlichtbestrahlung haben wir nicht. Vier PKW-Stellplätze sind nur wenige Meter vom Haus entfernt. Wenn man zu faul ist, die paar Schritte zu laufen, so kann unterhalb des Hauses am Straßenrand geparkt werden. Auch hier findet man immer einen Parkplatz. Auch im Winter ist das Haus dank einer Gas-Zentralheizung sehr gut bewohnbar. In jedem Zimmer befinden sich ausreichend dimensionierte Heizkörper und unsere Hausverwalterin vor Ort stellt bereits am Vorabend der Anreise die Heizung an, so dass bei Ankunft der Gäste wohnliche 20° C herrschen. Die Abrechnung der Nebenkosten erfolgt nach tatsächlichem Verbrauch und ist somit zu 100% von den Gewohnheiten der Mieter abhängig. Die Ablesung der Zähler erfolgt durch unsere Hausverwalterin in Anwesenheit der Mieter, die die abgelesenen Stände gerne prüfen können.

Zu erwähnen ist auch, dass dieser Mieter ein ziemlich großes Chaos bei Abreise hinterlassen hat.
