My condo is one of the units in "Village at Towne Center," a gated community built in 2005. It is located at the corner of N. Saguaro Blvd. and E. El Lago Blvd. directly across from Fountain Park in the center of downtown Fountain Hills (see map for location and relation to other landmarks in Fountain Hills). I purchased this unit because it is located within the development at the far east end very close to Fountain Park. From its living room and outside deck, one can see the fountain when it goes off, the attractive shopping center at Fountain Park (Plaza Fountainside), and the mountains in the background (see pictures). At the same time, it is slightly set back from N. Saguaro Blvd. so that it gets minimal street noise. The unit also faces east and south and is very bright even on a winter day.
The condo is 1,348 square feet on the second floor. There is a large living/dining room with attractive shelving, a large flat screen TV with DVD player and a gas fireplace. The floors, except in the two bedrooms, are a beautiful, large ceramic tile. The kitchen has all new appliances. The outside deck is reached from the dining and kitchen area. The whole condo has been newly painted. The washer and dryer are located in a closet which is part of the kitchen. A one car garage is directly below the unit. Ample additional outside parking is available.
The bedrooms contain queen sized beds and face south. The master bedroom has a flat screen TV with DVD player. The master bath contains two vanities and a large, stall shower with a window. Cable TV and wireless internet are provided.
The development has a beautiful swimming pool and hot tub which are both heated all year (as needed). There is also a fitness room by the pool. (See pictures.)
Fountain Hills
The town of Fountain Hills is located just east of Scottsdale and the Mayo Clinic (see map). It is surrounded by majestic mountains, parks, and the Sonoran Desert. Attractive, upscale homes are located throughout its hills. There are spectacular mountain views from almost anywhere in Fountain Hills. Beautiful landscaping is everywhere.
The world famous fountain and lake in Fountain Park and the attractive retail area downtown are the focus of the town. Surrounding downtown are luxury townhouses and condominiums. Fountain Hills has a small town, friendly feel, but is only minutes to the famous shopping of Scottsdale. Fountain Hills has five golf courses within its limits as well as several community parks, which have a total of six lighted tennis courts. The Fort McDowell Casino is on the edge of town.
Just to the north of Fountain Hills is the McDowell Regional Park with wonderful hiking and mountain biking. Just to the west of town is the Fountain Hills McDowell Mountain Preserve (partly owned with the City of Scottsdale) which has several hiking trails with great views.
