Welcome to a comfortable accommodation in the center of Reykjavik Iceland. Apartment V27 is a 77 sq.m. newly renovated house where you get the feeling of home away from home. Located in the old part of Reykjavik. It is perfect for couples, but can fit up to 4 persons.
Husband and father of 3. Live next door to apartment. Grew up in Reykjavik and have lived and studied in Copenhagen, Barcelona and Canada. I like outdoor activities and travelling and love to hear stories of people from around the world.

The house was built in 1929 for small shops. We renovated it in 2005 as a warm and bright apartment and wanted to create a unique place for people to stay.
It is nice to stay in a small house in the old center of Reykjavik. You get all the privacy, the space you need, clean and bright, the feeling of being in your own home. Just 5 min walk either to the old harbor with good restaurants or to the center of the city.
After spending a long weekend in Reykjavik, we couldn't think of a better place to stay. … only a 5 minute walk to the downtown shops, restaurants and bars! … The apartment itself was very inviting and comfortable. I am a stickler for modern and clean places to stay, and Apartment V27 fit the bill. The sheets and towels were impeccably clean, and the beds were comfortable. The kitchen was clean and fully stocked! I will definitely be coming back to Apartment V27 on my next visit to Iceland.
First off, Ketill and Sigga were wonderful hosts. Very accommodating, helpful and friendly. V27 is a very well equipped two level apartment one block from the old harbour with most downtown shopping and restaurants within a 20 minute walk. As mentioned above, V27 is a two level apartment with the bedroom and bathroom on the lower level which may not accommodate all parties. It is also on a busy corner and probably not the quietest location in town but, neither of these situations bothered us even in the slightest. Wonderful place and if we're ever in Reykjavik again, we would certainly consider apartment V27 again.
This apartment was a great fit for my family of 4. The apartment was as described in the listing and pictures. It was very clean and well maintained. It was extremely close to the harbor and the tour pick-ups points. Ketill, the owner, was great. He had quick response time to my questions and emails. He provided us with an extra bed for one of our kids and even brought us breakfast foods after we arrived very early after an overnight flight. Our favorite activities while in Iceland were the Golden Circle tour and the Blue Lagoon. I would highly recommend this listing.
Wonderful apartment. Clean, bright, well stocked. Owners respond to emails promptly. Location could not be better. Less than a 5 minute walk to downtown Reykjavik and the harbor. Neighborhood is quiet and safe. Will rent again when back in Iceland.
Spotlessly clean, large and lovely apartment near the harbor in Reykjavik. It's easy to get to by airport bus as it's very close to several hotels, and within walking distance of the harbor, old Reykjavik and many museums and sites along the water. The transportation center for bus tours is a short walk as well. There are several restaurants in the area as well as a few food markets if you decide to cook in the apartment. The apartment itself is in great shape and in an interesting building, on a quiet street that runs down to the harbor. The owners gave us a warm welcome and I would absolutely recommend the apartment to anyone staying in Reykjavik.
Great and cute apartment, kitchen had all we need, bedroom is downstairs on pavement level but that didn't matter much, comfortable bed, small grocery 1min walk away. Ketill and Sigga really looked after us and helped us with good hints. Would always recommend this place!
This apartment met all our needs during our stay of 5 nights. It is a unique and cozy apartment and had pretty much everything we needed to be comfortable. My 6 yr old son and I have food allergies so we needed a place where we could cook our own food.
The lower basement level where you sleep is really cool; not much airflow down there but it is perfect for those 20+ hours of day light. The bathroom is also on the lower level with a nice shower with plenty of hot water and good water pressure. There were generous numbers of quality towels, the bed linens were clean and, more importantly for me, the bed(s) were very comfortable.
On the main level, the kitchen is basic but adequate and fully functional to be able to prepare meals. In the living room the sofa was more worn out than in the photo but the room is bright, sufficient size and nicely decorated with fascinating books about Iceland. If someone is planning to sleep on this mail level, there is nothing to block out the light which might be difficult during the extended light in the summer.
Overall, we had no issues with this apartment and really enjoyed our stay. The apartment was clean, the beds were comfortable, the location was awesome, easy parking and the owners were easy going (as most Icelanders are), friendly and helpful. We'd definitely stay again.
