Recently my family and friends had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful cabin. With 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, we all "fit" comfortably. We really enjoyed the enclosed porch at night when not by the firepit. The Elk Lake view was beautiful and unobstructed. The large, nicely kept lawn was perfect for lawn games and just lazing in the sun with a good book. The lake itself was amazingly clear, warm and quiet. We were surprised how few boats/noise there were, especially for July 4th holiday. Boaters beware of the large tree stumps in the north end of Lake Skegemog, however, the fishing there is great for some Rock Bass!
Property management dealt swiftly with our minor concerns and took our suggestions gratefully. There is an uncomfortable couch, but that will soon be replaced. The end of the dock is a bit wobbly, but the boat hoist worked well with our small fishing boat.
Pearl's Restaurant in Elk Rapids is a must visit and try the Moomer's Ice Cream wherever you see it!
