Edisto Island House Rental Photos and Description
3 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 2.5 Baths (Sleeps 8-10)
As they say: location, location, location! Located on a peninsula between Sand Creek and Russell Creek, this property enjoys wonderful breezes not found inland. Different than a typical beach vacation, our guest house provides access to the unique nature and beauty of the Low Country’s rich tidal creeks and marshes, as well as easy access by car to Edisto Island’s historic landmarks, State Parks and local sites.
San Russ Point is the perfect spot for your fishing-birdwatching-boating vacation. Our house is unique in that is made up of three pods, connected by decks. The master suite contain a king sized bed, bath and laundry room. The two bedroom suite has two double beds in one room and a king in the other with a shared bath. Living area is spacious with screened porch and deck facing the marsh. There is a hot tub on the back deck and an enclosed shower downstairs. Owners live on the 40 acre property far enough away for complete privacy but close enough to help out if needed
This property is preserved by a conservation easement and boarders miles of state wetlands and open water as part of the Ace Basin and 10 minutes to the Inter Coastal Waterway. Great Fishing, Crabbing, Shrimping (in season). Property has its own boat ramp and dock. The property has a zip line and a trampoline. The dock has a ladder on it for swimming but we require life-jackets for children because there is a swift current. Because we are on the tip of Little Edisto Island, there are less bugs than other places and good breezes. You can easily access the beach by boat or car. This is a very beautiful and undisturbed area. We allow dogs for an extra charge but must be friendly because there is another house on the property with two very friendly Springer Spaniels. In addition, we can provide linens for an extra charge as well.
Owner Description: My brother bought this property in 1960 and we feel it is one of the most beautiful piece of property on Edisto Island because it is on a peninsula in a protected area. This give miles of undisturbed land surrounding the house. If you walk a mile up the dirt road you only see a few houses - instead you see lots of wildlife. As I write this, there are Wood Storks walking near the house and I can see miles out over the wetlands. The house is on a part of Edisto called Little Edisto Island, on the end of Russell Creek road, between Russell and Sand Creek (which are big bodies of water).
About 100 yards down the dirt road from the house , you will find the house where my husband and I live with our two friendly dogs. All around our 40 acre property there are protected areas - miles of land and wetlands that can never be developed. We just started renting this house a few years ago. So far all of our guests have been pleased and many are repeaters. We love sharing our beautiful place so much we decided to let people know about it on the Web. We provide bikes, golf card and a kayak/canoe (all for no additional charge) so you can fully explore land and sea. Enjoy leisurely walks down country roads and forest paths. Or simply relax in the sun or shade with a glass of iced tea. You will find yourself wanting to hang out on the property. Maybe ride your bike down the road, crab or fish on the dock, go for a golf card adventure, have the kids jump on the trampoline or go down the zip line, or just explore the area. Bring your boat and take trips down the creeks, water sports and remote beaches…all by utilizing our boat ramp and deep water dock. The Atlantic Ocean and Bohicket Marina (that has fun restaurants and bars) are just 20-minute boat ride away. (It is 10 miles to Edisto Beach down highway 174 by car). If you do not have a boat you can drive down to a 3,363 acre state wilderness area that has over a mile of beach front called Botany Bay Plantation. The State Park has a huge undeveloped beach which is also fun to walk down. You can take the bikes and ride down the bike paths at the state park. We enjoy buying local shrimp and fish from the docks and buying vegetables at the local farmers markets.
San Russ Point gives you access to the best of the South Carolina Low Country. Local attractions include historic churches and plantations; Edisto Beach and State Park; seasonal treats such as the Edisto Island Serpentarium, Bingo at the Lions’ Club, and blueberry picking; the ACE Basin; Cypress Gardens; and of course, the beautiful town of Charleston.

Guestbook comments from the owner
Rainy week but the breeze that came with it kept the bugs away and the temperatures cool. A little fishing, crabbing, boating, bike riding and a lot of reading made a a fabulous week!
We have lived on this beautiful 40 acre property for 44 years. We started renting Endless Views because we wanted to share the property with others. We have a maintenance worker and gardener that helps with the land management of the forest, road and upkeep. In the last few years we have redone the wood floors (Brazilian Teak in the bedrooms), redid the kitchen and decks, insulation and have replace most windows and doors. In addition, we updated the furniture. This is one of the most beautiful places you will ever visit as you can tell from the reviews!
This property has a wonderful location with beautiful views. The tides come in and make such a lush ecosystems that there are many birds, crabs, fish and wildlife. The breezes, that blow most days, keep the property much cooler than on the beach or city. There is only one road leading down to the property so you will not hear cars, just the sounds of the water and nature. The waterways are great for boating and water sports or just a swim off of the dock.
Deep water dock and boat ramp. Very undisturbed area with beautiful views. House is very livable with three pods which give kids and adults to be able to take a nap. You can go for your day excursion and then just relax on the property. The last people that visited wanted to go to Charleston but were having such a good time that they never made it!
