Two brand new bathrooms! New fixtures, new wall and floor tile, new block glass shower, new bathtub, new towels. be the first to use!

This 2 bedroom/2 bath condo has a double lanai with the master bedroom located in the front of the condo. The bright colors really make it feel tropical. There's a washer/dryer located right in the condo so you don't have to spend your precious time in Maui in a laundry room.

There's covered, assigned parking so you will never be parked in that beautiful, warm sunshine.

You'll have to decide where you want to eat each day as there's a table and chairs inside and outside on the lanai. There's a fully equipped kitchen to prepare meals at home, or walk downstairs for dinner at the Waterfront Restaurant, or up to the harbor to Beach Bum's where there's nightly entertainment. So many choices...you can sit on the lanai in the morning watching the whales in the winter while you decide what to do, where to go and where to eat....or just relax at the pool.

Arriving in the evening of 9/23/2014.We appreciate the covered reserved parking and Elevators for all floors.
Next morning,awaking to sights of dirty stained carpets, an “upholstered swivel chair that was rotting from underneath and creating large black carbon-like smudges on the “off-white” Berber carpet.We vacuumed the entire carpeted areas picking up several dried peas under the dining table.Walking barefoot on the carpet give you black feet. All carpet needs a deep cleaning and has not been done for a long time.The large lanai, has good views Disgusted with dirty,rejected “desk” stored in the corner of lanai.Planting pots stacked behind with potted dead plant in pot on top.Any thoughts of entertaining anyone here were immediately eliminated.All louvered windows were filthy inside and out.The screens failed to prevent the nightly attack from mosquitoes.Three different days we closed all the lovers, put away all towels, food and kitchen utensils) sprayed sprayed insect spray before leaving.Each time on our return, dead bugs of all types on the floors, which we swept up.After the first spraying, in the evening preparing our dinner I turned on the light over the kitchen sink area.More bugs came out and into the cabinet under the sinks.A metal frame chair collapsed under me as I sat at the desk.My shoulder is still sore from the fall on the chair frame.We contacted owner about the incident and indicated we would not be responsible for the chair since it had been bent prior to our arrival.My weight of 155 is not enough to make it to bend initially.Used one of the dining table chairs.Mentioned the dirty carpet spots and stains to owner and said we were not and would not be held responsible for them.This was met with a vacant look and a slight smile then the owner left after viewing the carpets.The range fan cover greasy and stained.Space between the dishwasher and the surrounding cabinets were filmed with dust,grime,lint.All flatwear,dishes,cups,and glasses loaded in the dishwasher verifying they were clean not just "available".Refrigerator bins grimy.Should submit a cleaning fee to the owner for having to do the things that anyone with a desire of “selling” this unit for further rentals would know.Living room is separated by"Master BR"with wood folding door.Broken on bottom,did not use.Bathrooms insects in light globes.2nd bath one light out,told owner not fixed during stay.Will not refer others to this unit/owner.

Owner's Response: Aloha and yes the assigned, covered parking and elevator is certainly a plus we love about this building. Aside from the spot on the carpet and broken chair upon arrival, no other comments were communicated during this stay.

The owner was not in Maui during this guest's stay however upon purchase about a year and a half ago they have been diligent about upgrading and improving this condo with every visit. There is new living room furniture, new beds and mattresses. They gutted both bathrooms and re-built from the walls out. They are currently working on replacing windows.

It is a 2-bedroom condo and many, if not most, two bedrooms in this building and on our street have shoji doors that separate the master bedroom from the living room area.

Regarding insects--we have been challenged this year with an abundance of bugs and lack of trade winds. There are mosquitoes that follow you in the daytime when you shop at Home Depot, WalMart, K-Mart, Safeway, etc. The lack of trade winds cause additional bugs to hang around. If windows or screens are left open even for the shortest time they will find they way in. There was no mention during the stay about the bugs. Our local newspaper addressed this issue and the steps they were taking to help us all. The condo association has a regular pest control program as well. I'm happy to say this has greatly improved, trades are back, and if known during the stay could have been addressed with some help.

We want all to enjoy Maui and if ever there is an unhappy guest and something we cannot fix, we are happy to refund any unused days so they can move to a better fit. We just need to know before the stay is over.

Nice rental, convenient location, helpful property manager

First of all, Barbara was very helpful in setting up our stay and allowing us an early check-in and late check-out. We received detailed info about the property before our arrival. The condo is spacious and has all necessary amenities. The pictures are pretty accurate. Just know that the Master bed is not in a separate room, there is a divider that you can close btwn the living area and bedroom. Not a problem for our family of 4 though. The lanai is double-wide and the view is beautiful. Even though it was VERY windy, there didn't seem to be much airflow (there were portable fans in the unit). My kids enjoyed the pool as there is no actual beach at Milowai. The location is right next to the harbor though if you're doing a snorkel tour...and not too far a drive to Lahaine or Paia or Kihei. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

I have visited Maui for a number of years, and at various locations; and found your condo particularly pleasant and inviting....clean, well appointed, great view, and well presented by you agent Barbara.
Ma'Alaea is so well located...close to most of the activity in: Lahaina, Kihei, Wailea, and Kahului. What could be more central!
Friends that visited us at the condo were also impressed with the surroundings, and would have no hesitation in recommending the condo to others. We have already booked for 2013, and will probably be counting the days for our return.

My whole family had a wonderful time in this condo. It is terrific. We have nothing to complain. The condo is spacious and clean. The lanai is big. We had dinners on the lanai. The kitchen has everything. My 18-month old baby can enjoy her special home made food every day. The ocean view is so beautiful, not to say it faces Monokini. The neighborhood is very convenient - food, grocery, and gas. I love it so much. We will definitely come back.
