|Minimum Stay||2 - 4 nights|
The charming, oceanside village of Yachats is just the place to spend a relaxing weekend, a week, or any amount of time away at the beautiful Southern Oregon Coast. And with six bedrooms and room for up to 14 lucky guests, this bright and spacious Yachats vacation home will wow you with its great location, ocean views, and bright, beachy style - there's even a private hot tub!
A large and open living room, dining room, and kitchen greet you on the main floor - all with stunning ocean views. Large ceilings and windows let in lots of natural light and a front deck provides plenty of space to have a seat and watch the waves roll in. Enjoy cable TV or a DVD viewed on the wall-mounted flat screen TV, or use the telescope to watch for seabirds, whales, and ships out on the water. A gas fireplace will keep your group cozy on chilly nights, even while watching dramatic winter storms out the wall of windows facing the ocean.
A dining table seats six, with extra spots at the breakfast bar. In the kitchen everyone can lend a hand to get bread toasted, omelets made, and the juice poured. Wake up and make yourself some coffee from freshly-ground beans, and head out onto the deck to watch the town wake up. All the major appliances are here in the kitchen (including a dishwasher), so everything from that family breakfast to a fancy roast chicken dinner is possible. And if you just want to heat up leftovers from your meals out, that's super easy here too.
On this main level, there's a lovely master bedroom with a king bed. A small sitting area compliments the room, as does the sliding glass doors and deck access. Lay in bed and listen to the sounds of the ocean, or sit up and enjoy a cup of green tea in the morning while you view the water.
You'll also find two additional bedrooms with queen beds, each with their own attached bathroom and one with a glimpse of the ocean. Also on this main floor is a large laundry room and an additional half bath.
Heading downstairs, you'll have an an extra large living space/game room with a pool table, ping pong, and foosball, as well as plenty of spaces to relax and watch the games. There are also two additional bathrooms down here. The fourth and fifth bedrooms are up here - both have queen beds, and the sixth bedroom is a bunk room with three sets of bunk beds, as well as a trundle bed. There's a spot for everyone in your group of up to 14 here!
Right outside the house there are many additional attractions. The hot tub of course, but also a fire pit for roasting marshmallows and making s'mores, a gas grill for outdoor meals, a volley ball net for lazy sunny afternoon games, a basketball hoop for practicing those jump shots, and three bikes to borrow and ride around the neighborhood.
Yachats, often referred to as the "Gem of the Oregon Coast" has it all - uncrowded beaches, restaurants, a coffee house featuring pastries and organic coffees, and galleries to browse. At nearby Cape Perpetua Scenic Area, gaze out over an 800 foot viewpoint at panoramic ocean views and rugged coastline. Hike the overlooks, pack a picnic lunch, and look for photo opportunities as you explore.
Past Cape Perpetua and about a half an hour south of the house is Heceta Head Lighthouse - stop by for a tour and to explore this State Scenic Viewpoint. A perfect way to spend the day, the Heceta Head trail is part of a seven-mile network of coast trails featuring varying terrains and difficulty levels. During the holidays, the lighthouse even hosts its annual Victorian Christmas open house.
Back in town for the evening, end your day trip south with a stop at The Drift Inn for some calamari, sweet potato fries, or a big plate of seafood lasagna. Then return home to your Shiloh by the Sea for time in front of the fire, a game of pool, and a soak in the hot tub while listening to the ocean waves.
For an amazing Oregon Coast getaway with family, friends, or a little bit of both, this Yachats retreat will treat everyone to comfort and beautiful ocean views.

There was so much space and fun things for all of us to do in the house that at times it was difficult to get them outside and explore the beautiful trails and seashore within walking distance or a very short drive.
With both teens and pre-teens, we enjoyed playing multiple games of ping-pong, pool, Foosball. The hot tub was private enough and a great way to ease tired muscles after a long hike.
The pantry had plent of room for us to stock with everything we needed to cook and was conveniently located next to the kitchen.
The house was super-clean and really comfortable.
I really enjoyed being able to watch the crashing waves while making a meal or cleaning up and whale-watching from the balcony.
Absolutely darlin! Loved this beach house. Fully stocked. No need to even bring a beach towel! Two wash machines, game room, books. Plenty of room for two families (we could have even had a third family join us). Clean, beds are comfortable, location was excellent. Not ocean front but close enough. Excellent views. Pictures truly reflect what you will receive.
Shiloh By The Sea was even better than we expected. The staff at Vacasa were very helpful and pleasant any time I called. Once we got there, the beds were comfortable, kitchen was well stocked and the hot tub was perfect after a day outside. Kitchen table did not seat all 12 of us but there were other tables and bar stools to use. We just couldn't all sit in one place for meals. We enjoyed our walks by the ocean into town for ice cream and the Little Log Church museum was very interesting. Three generations all felt very comfortable and what a memorable time we all had.
We had a lovely stay with four different families and their children. We all had enough room to have our own space and each family got its own bathroom which was very nice. I was surprised there was no hair dryer, but oh well its vacation. I was concerned about renting after some reviews said the house rules were over the top or there was too much Christian decor. We did not find a long list of rules, just the expected house respect. As far as decor it is not what I would choose, but it was tasteful and inspirational. Little touches all throughout the house show that the owners really love their home. Over all the house was clean, comfortable and very well stocked. Being right on Hwy 101 was worrisome for me, but the house was quite and with the hedge in the front we felt comfortable in the front yard with the kids. One note is the volley ball court is peat gravel not sand, we were hoping it would be a good place for sand castles, but we just went to the beach instead.
We have chosen Shiloh By the Sea for two consecutive years for our Ladies Retreat and we loved it! This house had hot showers and ample bathrooms and beds to meet all of our needs. This home is lovely yet comfortable and user friendly. The walk to the beach and ocean views are perfect and it offers activities for everyone. My family has also used this house on several occasions and our kids had a blast! You will not find a nicer house that is more accommodating for such an affordable price!
We have stayed at this home every year for our annual MOPS Leadership retreat. We love this home! We have taken from 5 to 13 women at a time and fit comfortably in the house. The upstairs living and dining area is spacious enough to accommodate all the ladies for visiting or training times. The kitchen is well appointed and we had no problem preparing large meals. The house is clean and well maintained. The view from the front windows is stunning. We have had the opportunity to stay during a storm or two and the ocean was magnificent.
As a Christian women's group, we enjoy the Christian theme in the decorating and find it to be in good taste. Some years we have had infants with us, and the house has worked well for the babies and new moms too. Debra, the owner, has always been able to solve any problems we might come across. I have rented several vacation properties in the past and find the rules at this home to be similar to others. We LOVE this home and will definitely use it again!
