Wonderful Weekend Ski Getaway from Richmond VA

This is a very well maintained home with all the upgrades and extras. You literally dont have to bring anything except maybe foil and of course your own groceries. They have thought of just about everything, even down to the neat soap and shampoo dispensers in the showers. We had a group of 6 and never felt on top of each other. We didnt utilize the upstairs "bunkbed room" which has the bathroom with the jacuzzi kind of attached to it, weird layout as you would think that would be for the master, but it was cool. The master is on the first floor as soon as you walk in and has awesome high celings. Large and fancy dining room for breakfast and dinner, very spacious living room with fireplace, and kitchen with all the appliances you'll need. (Fridge has cool dimming light lol) There is also a bathroom with shower right off the kitchen. Outdoor fireplace and gas bbq grill was a nice touch, but the hot tub stole the show. It took some convincing to get others into the hot tub in the middle of winter, but once they were in we had a blast just listening to some music and taking in the picturesque mountain views. The game room was a hit as well, but most of the females stayed in the house as the game room is not connected to the home, it appears to be a converted shed. But it is heated, just more of a man cave. I would recommend some carpet, a fireplace, and a sofa of some sort to make it a bit more welcoming to the ladies. Also the puck for the air hockey does not stay on the table at all, but pool and ping pong were the favorites anyway. There were extra pool sticks, ping pong rackets, balls, etc..There were even some extra board games lying around (all really nice touches) All of the TV's on this property have really great speakers for flat screens, so just turn to the music channel and you're good to go. Massanutten was only 15 minutes away and is easy to memorize the route after just a few trips. Snow tubing was excellent! There is also a small town with a Family Dollar and Seven Eleven to name a few about 5 minutes down the road, yet on this "farm" you feel like you're in the middle of nowhere. Pictures are accurate and almost don't do it justice, and clean as a hotel. Becky was quick to respond and very informative and rather proud of this property. I will definitely be BACK. :)
