Just OK....some things not disclosed..

Incredible view from this property and a perfect place to watch the sunset. I certainly won't argue that AT ALL!
Be aware that if you decide to rent here, the dryer (clothes) is a COMMERCIAL dryer. Bring your quarters!!! This is not disclosed on the owner's listing here and it REALLY should be. Washer was not commercial, though. We utilized the clothes line for wet towels and swimsuits.
Also...owner does stay in the "beach house" and DOES utilize the dock that you are paying to use so you are, pretty much, "sharing" the dock if the owner is staying on the premises.
These cottages are, pretty much, rather close together at this location. There were some loud nights, but Houghton Lake is known as the "party lake"..if you are into that kind of stuff, it's for you!
King bed was EXTREMELY comfortable, though, but the furniture could use an upholstery cleaner as there were some smells of "we've been used a lot and haven't been cleaned".
Fire pit was awesome to have.....:) The beach chairs down by the fire pit are extremely worn and what is left of the upholstery is very ragged and need replacing. May want to bring your own.
Sea Wall is a tad of a hindrance for swimming (especially to smaller, more timid children), but it is on EVERY property on this lake and not the fault of the owner....just something to be aware of when considering. ALSO....swimmer's itch is a GIVEN in this lake (even after bathing my kiddos got it). Be prepared for it. Again, not the owner's fault, but something we really wish we knew beforehand.
LOVED Arnie's and some of the smaller stores/shops in the area. Coyls restaurant was a hit, too. Not too far of a roadtrip to Traverse City and a small drive to West Branch (Outlet).
