Patio home is ideally located five minutes from Folly Beach, ideal for children of all ages. Downtown Charleston is also less than 10 minutes away, easily accessible by nearby connector. There are many fine restaurants nearby, many of which specialize in seafood. The neighborhood is off the beaten path so it is peaceful but easily accessible to shopping and sightseeing.

One can enjoy walking/riding/biking the shaded trails which encompass the entire area surrounding Pinnacle Lane. Further family entertainment can be enjoyed with a short car ride (about a mile away) to James Island County Park, the premier camp/playground in the Charleston area. During the summer months, there is a water park there as well, with ample activities for all.

The home itself is an area of 1100 square feet, with an enclosed patio area which opens onto a wooded area, insuring further privacy.

I have two grandchildren, both of whom live nearby. I have always wanted to live in the Charleston area, close to the beach as well as the great food and shopping there. While the greatest allure is my being able to see my grandchildren more frequently, I LOVE everything about Charleston--it is where I went to school to complete my graduate studies, and I fell in love with it way back when! (I am now retired, after having taught French at the secondary and college levels for 36 years.) I especially like to stroll along the battery, enjoying the view on land--the beautiful homes that line the street--and look out across the ocean to get a glimpse of Ft.Sumter in the distance. It is entertaining to be able to stroll along the battery and see the all the different boats/yachts docked there.

I am able to keep my grandchildren in a safe and child-friendly place in a residential area which is not on or near a major road. I also like being able to park not five feet away from my front door, making my car easily accessible. I also love to go to the beach nearby for a couple of hours at a time.It is especially nice to be able to park in the free parking area there which is adjacent to the fishing pier, a popular gathering place for all ages. The area has recently been renovated, and I have enjoyed the restaurant located right there on the pier. (Friends who have gone with me have remarked about how clean and safe they feel while they are in the area.) I especially going to the end of pier where there is an area used there for dances, open to the public, during the summer months. It is great to get in my car and go the 8 miles --I measured the distance--to be at the beach. I take my umbrella and my book and while away hours at the ocean's edge--a great beach for sunbathers as well!

On days when I choose to stay at home, I love to walk the shadeed trails behind my house. My grandson enjoys riding his bike while I try to keep up with him, no easy task since I am often pushing a stroller as well!

We came into town for the East Coast Paddlesports & Outdoor Festival held at Jame Island Park. The park was two minutes away making it very convenient. Also enjoyed Folly Beach & other piers for fishing. Very comfortable place after long days out. Thanks Kaaren.

We have been staying at Kaaren's Place for several years, always our first choice and our "go to destination!" Only minutes from Folly Beach and Charleston, situated in a quiet community that is great for walking and running. Comfortable and beautifully decorated, bring your own groceries and eat in, or eat at any of the great area restaurants.
We highly recommend Kaaren's Place!!

Much More Then Hoped For

My wife and I needed a convenient place for an extended stay close to MUSC. There was urgency for locating a suitable location. We found Kaaren's Place through VRBO. One call was made and after an almost immediate follow up by Kaaren we came to an agreement to rent for 5 weeks. From the descriptions and reviews we were expecting a nice home, close to the hospital that would offer us basic comforts away from home. Kaaren's Place became an essential sanctuary for us over these several weeks. The townhome is located in a quiet and serene neighborhood that is well maintained and inhabited by friendly neighbors. Within 15 minutes travel one can be to the beach, in the city or out in surrounding locations such as a trip to the Angel Tree. You cannot go wrong renting Kaaren's Place and it comes with an added bonus that Kaaren discretely stays in touch to be sure all is well and responds promptly to requests for help and local guidance.

Awesome trip!

My best vacation in years and Kaarens place was a great starting off point. I was lucky enough to travel with my mother-in-law and sis-in-law for 4th of July week for a girls trip. 15 minutes to downtown Charleston and 10 minutes to Folly beach! Perfect in between spot for sight seeing and beach time! House is clean comfortable and quiet! We couldn't have been happier with our accommodations! Are planning on making it an annual trip!

My wife and I decided to visit the Charleston area as part of our 20th anniversary. What a great location, the home was located within 15 minutes of Charleston as well as Folly Beach. The home was in great condition, well stocked and we felt very safe in the neighborhood. Kaaren made the process very easy and made her self available for any questions or concerns. We could not have asked for a better place to stay. We both are looking forward to staying at "Kaaren's Place" again soon!
