Patio home is ideally located ten minutes from Folly Beach--longer during summer months/special events. Ideal for children of all ages. Downtown Charleston is also less than 10 minutes away, easily accessible by nearby connector. There are many fine restaurants nearby, many of which specialize in seafood. The neighborhood is off the beaten path so it is peaceful but easily accessible to shopping and sightseeing.
One can enjoy walking/riding/biking the shaded trails which encompass the entire area surrounding Pinnacle Lane. Further family entertainment can be enjoyed with a short car ride (about a mile away) to James Island County Park, the premier camp/playground in the Charleston area. During the summer months, there is a water park there as well, with ample activities for all.
The home itself is an area of 1100 square feet, with an enclosed patio area which opens onto a wooded area, insuring further privacy.

Why kaaren niver chose James Island
I have two grandchildren, both of whom live nearby. I have always wanted to live in the Charleston area, close to the beach as well as the great food and shopping there. While the greatest allure is my being able to see my grandchildren more frequently, I LOVE everything about Charleston--it is where I went to school to complete my graduate studies, and I fell in love with it way back when! (I am now retired, after having taught French at the secondary and college levels for 36 years.) I especially like to stroll along the battery, enjoying the view on land--the beautiful homes that line the street--and look out across the ocean to get a glimpse of Ft.Sumter in the distance. It is entertaining to be able to stroll along the battery and see all the different boats/yachts docked there, as well as the beautiful old homes and Rainbow Row
What makes this townhome unique
I am able to keep my grandchildren in a safe and child-friendly place in a residential area which is not on or near a major road. I also like being able to park not five feet away from my front door, making my car easily accessible. I also love to go to the beach nearby for a couple of hours at a time.It is especially nice to be able to park in the free parking area there which is adjacent to the fishing pier, a popular gathering place for all ages. The area has recently been renovated, and I have enjoyed the restaurant located right there on the pier. (Friends who have gone with me have remarked about how clean and safe they feel while they are in the area.) I especially going to the end of pier where there is an area used there for dances, open to the public, during the summer months. It is great to get in my car and go the 8 miles --I measured the distance--to be at the beach. I take my umbrella and my book and while away hours at the ocean's edge--a great beach for sunbathers as well!
On days when I choose to stay at home, I love to walk the shadeed trails behind my house. My grandson enjoys riding his bike there, free from traffic.
