Dot's Landing Cottage is a charming period colonial property located in the Waterfront district of Niagara-on-the-Lake, steps to the Whirlpool Jet Boat Tours.

This vacation cottage was built in the late 1830's by a ship's carpenter for his family and has recently been lovingly restored to feature modern amenities while maintaining the property's old world charms such as wide planked floors.

Dot's Landing Cottage is just steps away from the downtown area which boasts a wealth of world class shopping, Shaw Festival Theaters, Historic Fort George as well as dozens of first class restaurants and award winning Niagara VQA wineries.

Dot's Landing Cottage sleeps 7 people and features two modern bathrooms, three bedrooms (all equipped with bed bug proof mattress covers), large dining room and living room with a wood burning fireplace and a fully equipped kitchen. An outdoor patio and natural gas barbecue (grill) are provided to help make your stay as comfortable and relaxing as possible.

Families are welcome, we are a smoke-free environment. We offer laundry facilities, wireless internet, cable TV and local telephone service.

About Janet Trogdon

I live and work in Hamilton and love coming to Niagara-on-the-lake. To get away from it all! So I purchase this beautiful home in Niagara-on-the-lake and named it after my mother. That is how Dot's Landing received its name. I have remodel and decorated Dot's Landing with many antiques from the time period that Dot's Landing was built.

I love coming to Dot's Landing and relaxing and do all the landscaping myself. I have truly made it a home where my guest and I can relax and enjoy our own piece of history!

Since I live out of town I have hired amazing property manager that take care of my home and guest. Janet and Eric Trogdon treat Dot's Landing as if it was there vacation rental.

When welcoming guest to Dot's Landing they take the time to show them around and answer all question our guest may have. Janet and Eric are always available for any of your needs or concerns.

Why Janet Trogdon chose Niagara-on-the-Lake

I purchase this home and named it after my mother so that every time I come to Dot's Landing. It feels like she is here with me in Niagara-on-the-lake.

I love the history and the fact that this was built by a carpenter for his family. With so much love and character. That is one of the reason I feel in love with Dot’s Landing.

From the wide plank floors, to the old wood on the ceilings right up to the beautiful yard. Plus the fact that it is on a quiet street and I can see the water and marina from my front door.

What makes this house unique

What I love about Dot's Landing is the original hard wood floors and the wood on the ceilings. The design and layout of the home is amazing. From the cozy bedrooms to the wood burning fireplace in the living room! The kitchen is just the right size to prepare a meal or just a snack to have in front of the fireplace.

I love the size of the yard from the back wood patio right to the landscaping. That I have work so hard on for our guest to enjoy. I love to sit on the back deck with friends and family with a glass of wine while bbq/grill something to eat.

    children are always welcome at Dot's landing. Dot's landing is like taking your children back in time. Letting them see how homes where built back in the 1800's. The yard is big enought that children can run and play and them relax on the back deck with mom and dad. don't worry if it's raining out they can always play board games or cards in the enclose sun porch.

Wonderful Accomadations, cozy and clean environment. Wonderful Location, Friendly and Welcoming Hostess! We had a good time at Queens Landing wedding reception. Again service was superb!
