Overlooking Christiansted Harbor - Sweet!

This was our second visit to this property and we found it as great as our first stay. We were there for two weeks and had a great time visiting different parts of the island from our central location. There were days when it was hard to get motivated to go out and about because we were so comfortable with our surroundings. We even watched the fireworks in the harbor from the patio and didn't have to drive anywhere to see them. In the afternoons we would walk into Christiansted to shop or have an early dinner and in the evening we would watch the birds from the patio. If you want to relax this is a great place to do it.

My wife and I stayed here from 2/2/13-2/9/13 and absolutely hated to leave. First of all Kat & Roger go above and beyond ensuring you are comfortable in your accomodations and knowledgeable of the island and all its offerings. You can tell they love their island and its people...and they know a lot of people! The accomodations are everything shown and talked about by others; perfect for two people and very well appointed. The location could not be better for the view (pictures just can't do it justice) and as a base for exploring the island. I dove for 3 days with SCUBA and found them to be great to deal with and very professional and fun. We also did Virgin Kayak's bioluminescence tour in Salt River Bay w/ owners Brian & Jill Updike (recommended), a 2-6 pm snorkel/sunset sail with Capt. Dee (Diane Osinski) of Bilinda Charters (VERY highly recommend!), sunrise at Point Udall. Eat at: Turtle's Deli in Fredericksted; Cafe Christine (the chocolate/pear pie is to die for!), Kim's, and Miss Harvey's (all "locals" places w/ GREAT food) in Christiansted; and Cheeseburgers in America's Paradise (get the Triple Da Meat burger) which is located a few miles East of the house. Also, be a "tourist" and visit the Mt. Pellier Hut in the rainforest area for the beer-drinking pigs and to try their homemade mamajuana! If you happen to be there during one of the four Jump Up times during the year, consider yourself very lucky and enjoy the Moko Jumbies, steel drum bands, and local vendors during the street party! Kat & Roger can give you many more recommendations...use their knowledge as you won't be disappointed!

The guest house was the perfect fit for our vacation plans. Not only was it in a convenient location (right off the new bypass) but the amenities were tenfold for the price! Roger and Kat were more than accommodating and so very helpful. Their knowledge was much more valuable than any hotel concierge I have encountered. This listing is very accurate and the previous reviewers were not fibbing - a bottle of rum and some breakfast items await you upon your arrival! The pictures with this listing are beautiful but to see it in person is truly breathtaking. The guest house was very clean and the shutters were so amazing and really added an 'open air' experience for us that we truly enjoyed. I would recommend this property to any couple looking to visit St. Croix. We already want to go back and have only been home 2 weeks today! You will not be disappointed if you book with Kat and Roger!

Our recommendations for activities: (YOU MUST RENT A CAR! There is too much to see on this island to not have a vehicle.) Buck Island snorkeling experience, renting snorkel gear at Cane Bay and Rainbow Beaches, drive to Sandy Point (weekends only), drive to Point Udall for a sunrise, drive to F'Stead for a sunset, Jet skiing at Rainbow Beach (was fun but too limited to where you can ski - maybe one of the tours they offer would allow for an optimized experience)

Our recommendations for restaurants: The Bistro and Avocado Pit for breakfast, Turtle Deli for lunch (so good we ate here 3x during our 7 day stay!), Blue Water Terrace (huge portions) and The Galleon for dinner (great steak)
