This SPACIOUS 2 Bedroom, 2 bath CONDO which is across from the famous 'Magic Sands Beach' is Your Home Away from Home and you Will Want to back year after year.

Take a swim at Magic Sand Beach or just soak up the sun.

Further down Alii Drive, you can purchase unique items from the local craftspeople, or try your hips at Hula!... all along the Promenade. The open markets are always buzzing with excitement, fresh local produce, and great gifts to bring home.

Golf! IS Just down Alii Drive is the Kona Country Club. Great views from the clubhouse restaurant with 36 holes of Ocean and Mtn Views.

There is a SHUTTLE that runs back and forth on Alii Drive and will pick you up and drop you off not far from the Condo.

You will find groceries, restaurants, movie theater, drug store, etc at the Keauhou Shopping Center about 3 Miles South or Head North in to Kona and you will find the Farmer's Market, Restaurants, Shopping, etc.

DEPOSITS:

Number of people occupying unit must be disclosed at time of booking. If not, additional $50/person charges will be added to credit card on file.

Non-Refundable CREDIT CARD DEPOSIT IS REQUIRED WITH confirmed booking. Balance is due 30 days prior to arrival for Low season, 60 days prior for High Season & Ironman. Directions and Key instructions will be sent 15 days prior to booking once full payment is received. $250 Refundable Damage Deposit. IN US FUNDS!

45 days prior to reservation date a full refund less the Original Deposit for a cancellation booking fee.

Think twice about this unit

The complex is outstanding. Very friendly and knowable staff. The owners that live there full time are very nice as well. The beach across the street is great for sightseeing, body boarding and if the swell is up, even surfing. There are usually sea turtles close to shore and will swim right around you. As far as the unit , It has no air conditioning which is not listed in the discretion. We rented this unit 2 years ago and it had a/c that worked great. So it was our fault that we did not check this item out but who in the world removes the central a/c unit out of a condo that is for rent in a tropical climate. On our stay with temps in the low to mid 90's and with the hi humidity levels, it felt near 100. Each room has a ceiling fan but you really couldn't feel anything from them and only one 12” floor fan for four people just doesn't cut it very well. Hard to sleep when you stick to the sheets. We will rent at this complex again next year as we have the last four years but will not rent this unit again until it has a new owner that cares about the renters.

Owner's Response: The location of this condo is outstanding. The condo is Not Advertised with A/C and the guest IS UPSet With Themselves for Not inquiring or noticing that it is not in the Advertising of it so that is Not our fault. The Owner is there Right now for a Month without A/C and the temps are fine.
There are Many owners that have stopped supplying A/C at this and other complexes as electricity is very expensive in Hawaii. By the time the owner pays for it they make No Money. Most of the time A/C is NOT Necessary in Kona as many many units have never had A/C.
This year was Abnormally Humid but No One Can Predict that. There are few guests that think they need A/C in KONA.
We have Many Many Returning guests to this Property and Stay in Units and Love it and Return year after year to the Same Condo.
With the Tropical Breezes, It Is Comfortable and the Temperatures Are Fine.

The REVIEW BY THIS GUEST JUST PROVES HE IS UPSET AT HIMSELF AND TAKING IT OUT HERE IN THIS FORUM.

I agree with everything my wife has written in the previous review. Our stay was nice. It was basic and it is definitely for cost-conscious travelers (such as ourselves). The rate was very low-so no, you can't expect this to compare to the Hilton or Sheraton, etc. However, we enjoyed having a fridge we could stock with snacks and breakfast foods, etc so that we didn't have to eat out all the time. The photo from the Lanai, in my opinion, is definitely zoomed in but yes, there is a beach/ocean view. I agree the snorkeling beach down the road aka Turtle Beach is walking distance and excellent for snorkeling. But as my wife said, if you are looking for a longer, more beautiful looking beach area, you will definitely have to drive 20 minutes or so to Waikoloa or a bit longer to Hapuna. Turtle beach is a great snorkel area but not even close to being as beautiful as Waikoloa or Hapuna (in my opinion, of course!). So I guess you should decide if you want to see beautiful sea-life (incl sea turtles) up close at Turtle Beach or lounge and enjoy the sandy stretch and waves at Waikoloa or Hapuna. As for the unfortunate cleaning issue prior to our arrival? Well, the unit was not clean. My geriatric mother-in-law had to spend almost 2 hours cleaning, sweeping, vacuuming, among other things to get the condo into appropriate condition. In retrospect, she probably should have just called the housekeeper to see if he had cleaned it (poorly) or if he would be able to clean while they went out for a couple of hours. Oh well! Supposedly there were people staying in the condo prior to us who had checked-out but were still coming in and out afterwards and they didn't request another cleaning-at least, that's what I was told. Regardless, staying at this condo was comfortable-like sleeping over at a friend's house. It is an extremely quiet complex. We never heard anyone else talking or yelling or music, etc. And it was definitely nice to have a washer/dryer in the unit since we were traveling with our baby. Anyway, I would recommend this condo and area of Hawaii.

Owner's Response: Yes there are very beautiful beaches up North. I am not saying there isn't just that you don't have to drive up there if you don't want to.

The cleaning issue should have been phoned in to the contact person on the paperwork that was provided. It has Never happened before and I don't think that it will happen again.

Basic Condo Unit...Best part is being across the street from a sandy beach!

This is a basic, older looking condo in the Kailua-Kona area. It has carpet and some tile, as well. The photo of the 'view from lanai' appears to be zoomed-in by the camera-yes, you do get that view but certainly not from that close (you are more like 10-ish units back even though the photo makes it appear like you are right up front). Regardless, when you sit on the Lanai, you can see this beautiful view and hear the waves. The best part of this place is the walk right across the street to Magic Sands beach...The waves were pretty big on our first couple of days and then definitely settled down and there is lots of body/boogie boarding there (even younger kids). Our stay was nice-as long as you're looking for a decent place to sleep and spend a couple of hours in during the day, this would be the place for you...But don't expect it to look like the Hilton! Unfortunately, there was an issue/possible miscommunication with the housekeeper and our unit had not been cleaned prior to our arrival. Other than that, our stay was enjoyable. The main strip of shops are a bit of a walk (I would guess 20-30 mins). We had a car-which I would highly recommend for the area. Our favourite restaurants were Lulu's and Bongo Ben's. We had 4 adults and 1 infant traveling with us. PS The Magic Sands beach area is not very big (if that's what you're looking for). If you're looking for a longer stretch of beach, I would recommend the beach at the Waikoloa Mariott Resort or Hapuna beach (which is a 25-40 minute drive from this area).

Owner's Response: The views of the Beach were taken from the lanai of this condo to depict just how close the beach is to this complex. Which is Rare on the Big Island to be this close to a Swimmable Beach.

The best snorkeling beach is 1 miles south of this complex at Kahalu'u Beach so you do not have to drive 30 - 40 minutes to a Beach.

This homes rates are geared for the budget minded and the Low Rates Fit this condo and complex perfectly. The rates fit this condo and resorts amenities. We have many, many, many guests that return year after year and they will only stay at this Resort and in Our Condos. They will not book with anyone else.

This is a Second Home to the owner and No it is not a 5 Star Hotel. If you are looking for 5 Star Accommodations, By all means book the Hilton at their High Nightly Rates plus you will have to eat all meals out and you Will Not have access to laundry facilities in your unit.

The issue with the cleaning is being investigated as the condo was cleaned prior to the guests arrival as it always is clean and ready for our arriving guests. My cleaners are all very conscientious.

So If you are looking for a comfortable Vacation home that fits your Budget then Book our condo and enjoy your stay on the Big Island in this or one of the other condos that we represent..
