This beautiful 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom condo is your perfect base for experiencing all the best that North Lake Tahoe has to offer, from year round outdoor recreation to dining and shopping in historic downtown Truckee. In Truckee near the intersection of I-80 and CA-89, the condo is centrally located: there are numerous outdoor recreation opportunities in all directions, including world-class hiking, mountain biking, fishing and fly-fishing, and golfing, as well as alpine and cross-country skiing, sledding, snowshoeing, and other winter activities.
The condo comfortably sleeps six, with 2 full bedrooms and a converted study with 2 bunk beds serving as a 3rd bedroom. It's a great space for families and kids. It also features wireless internet, gas fireplace, full kitchen with all new appliances, hardwood floors, washer-drier, and a spacious living area. Topping it all off is the large private hot tub on the back porch. The unit is available for weekend, short-term, long-term, and vacation rentals.
The complex also has a community pool, spa and workout room, horseshoe pits, a sand volleyball court, bocce, and outdoor grills and benches.
Within a 3-minute walk are a bagel shop, pizza restaurant, Chinese food restaurant, grocery store, drug store, and several other restaurants. Downtown Truckee, with its shops and restaurants, is just a 3-minute drive away. The north shore of Lake Tahoe is a quick 15-20 minute drive to the south, and Reno is only 35 minutes east.
Ski resorts within 25 minutes drive include: Sugar Bowl, Squaw Valley, Northstar, Homewood, Alpine Meadows, Donner Ski Ranch, Mt. Rose, Tahoe Donner, and Royal Gorge (cross-country only).
We are two families who live in the greater Bay Area and love to escape to the Sierra for hiking, skiing, snowshoeing, and fishing, among other activities.

Truckee offers a perfect combination of everything the Tahoe area has to offer: small-town, old-west feel; immediate and easy access to lakes, hiking, skiing, fishing and so many other recreation options; both relaxed and fine dining options, and an easy drive from S.F., Sacramento, or Reno.
The location is just seconds from the freeway, yet it is extremely quiet. It's centrally located: all the North Shore ski areas are within 15 minutes, and charming downtown Truckee is a 3-minute drive (or quick summer bike ride) away.
Having a grocery store, drug store, and several restaurants a block away means we can spend a weekend without driving if we want.
Donner Lake is just a few minutes away, and is a perfect spot for family outings, summer or winter.
Our two-month stay in his condo has been delightful. We loved having the garage for our car and for storage. The location is perfect and just as the description states, is close to restaurants, post office, coffee shop, and I-80. The hot tub on the deck is a fabulous addition, although the pool community club house also has one and we used that quite a few times, too. The pool has a nice lap area that members respect for those that want to swim laps. There's a great workout area also available. There's a regular-sized washer and dryer available to tenants that proved to be very valuable. The kitchen is well stocked with cooking and baking utensils. We enjoyed having the fireplace for those cool times in May. The condo was clean and all in all we loved this place and would want to come back.
Truckee provides the best combination of convenience, amenities, skiing/hiking, small-town charm and history of any area in the Lake Tahoe region.
