'HAPPY BEARS COTTAGE' offers long distance views of Cedar Cliff and layers of Blue Ridge. From the large covered porch, watch the kids frolic in the meadow below, take comfortable strolls on the walking trails. The mountain inspired decor offers spacious settings for family time, making memories or just relaxing. Decorated bedrooms offer a king in master, with queen or two singles in the upstairs suites. Two fireplaces, luxury appointments, and lots of room assure your bears will be happy, too!
Bear Lake Reserve [BLR] is located on Bear Creek Lake, ('Bear Lake'), in Tuckasegee, NC. It boasts waterfalls, fishing pond, hiking, golf, fire pits for s'mores and a luxuriously appointed clubhouse. Enjoy dining at the Lake Lure Restaurant, lounge at the pool or hot tub. Movie nights in the theatre, indoor play areas, full bar, media room, library, gym, sauna, and steam round out a full spectrum of resort activities.

With over 13 miles of shoreline there are boulders to jump from, islands to explore, waterfalls to climb, and photo ops. Relax at Laughing Trout Camp-in the lakefront timber-framed pavilion, fireplace, kitchen, 2 full baths, picnic, 2 beaches. Ready for adventure? Tube the rushing Caney Fork Creek--about an hour of brisk mini rapids whisks you to the Tuckasegee River.
