If you're looking for peace and quiet, try our three bedroom, two bath home out in the meadow surrounded by trees, where you can watch the birds, squirrels, and bunnies romp in the grass.
Halfway between Oak Ridge and downtown Knoxville, it is convenient for business or pleasure, close to East Tennessee attractions, like the Oak Ridge science museums, the beautiful Knoxville Zoo, and the many festivals held here to highlight this beautiful area in all seasons. We are 13 miles from UT Neyland Stadium and the Basketball Hall of Fame, and 20 miles to McGee Tyson Airport in Alcoa, which serves the Knoxville area. Thousands of people from all over the world come the second week of October to see the Museum of Appalachia Homecoming in Norris, only a 30 minute drive. The Great Smoky Mountain National Park is located 40 miles south.
The home is fully equipped with everything you need to have a comfortable stay. We have three queen beds, with a rollaway bed and port-a-crib available if needed. Those with children would enjoy the Ijams Nature Park, Star of Knoxville Riverboat trip on the Tennessee River, and the Three Rivers Rambler vintage steam train 90 minute ride through the gorgeous East Tennessee countryside. If you come for the Dogwood Arts Festival in April, be prepared to have your breath taken away by Spring blooms on the marked Dogwood trails, driving through local neighborhoods.
If you just want to rest, we have peace and quiet, a full kitchen, three TVs with cable and DVDs and tapes available--and even some books. With the long, private driveway, we have parking space for pretty much anything you drive. Join us in East Tennessee, where the people are friendly and make you feel right at home.
Thank you for a delightful stay at your house. We were very comfortable and had everything that we needed.
My husband Stephen and I have been married for 45 years, and 20 years ago we moved from Southern California to Knoxville, picking it out of the whole country for its beauty and livability. I am an artist, and my husband is in Engineering for the City of Knoxville.
