Sans Souci is an 80% 'owner occupied' building consisting of 12 floors plus 3 penthouse apartments (88 units total). All entrances require a security key. Garage parking space is assigned and within the secured area. Laundry facilities are on the same floor as the condo (2 doors away). Sans Souci building is adjacent to Diamond Head Crater, Kapiolani Park, Honolulu Zoo & Aquarium, and The War Memorial/natatorium. The Outrigger Canoe Club & Elks Club are a 3-minute walk. Kalakaua Avenue (Waikiki's main boulevard) is a 10-minute walk and is lined with glitzy shops, hotels, and restaurants. There you will find 'hula shows', surfing/snorkeling lessons, sunset dinner cruises; as well as many other beach activities & planned community festivals.
The white sands of Sans Souci Beach and the blue Pacific Ocean glisten as you step outside the gated back entrance to what feels like 'your own private piece of paradise'. This location combines the beauty of the Hawaiian Islands, along with privacy and security. Yet it still offers all the amenities and services of a metropolitan location (shopping, dining, community activities, public transportation, and health care facilities.)
Beautiful views of the ocean, Diamond Head, Kapolani Park, Waikiki Beach and Hobnolulu City lights. It is secure while still offering the convenience and accessibility of downtown restaurants, shopping & activities. The sunsets from the lanai are rivaled only by the full moon over Diamond Head Crater.
Sans Souci truly is our Home-Away-From-Home. We look forward to spending many future years in this well appointed condo.
We had the pleasure of spending April 2013 at this condo. The pictures give you a true snapshot of how well kept the condo is. Working with such a detailed, thoughtful Condo Owner was a pleasant bonus to our great vacation.
Location is everything! We rented a car & appreciated the convenience of gated parking but enjoyed the many short walks to down town Waikiki allowing us the perfect balance of island activities.
The condo is very quiet with the only thing waking us at night being the sound of waves if we kept the sliding glass doors to the lanai open. We chose to keep the lanai shutters rolled up from the moment we arrived and didn't close them until the day we left! The view was stunning no matter what time of day!
The condo was stocked with any necessary items you could imagine to add to the comfort of your stay!
When we vacation, we put a considerable amount of time into searching and usually stay at 4/5 Star locations...with that being said, We can not wait to go back and plan to be repeat customers at this condo!!!
We've been coming many years to San Souci. It is in a fabulous location. Very quiet area across from a large park at the base of Diamond Head. Tennis, running and walking are just out the door. Take the elevator down to the ground floor and you are on the best snorkeling and swimming beach. Paddle board rentals available too. If you want night life it is a short 15 minute walk into the bustle of Waikiki. The apartment is super clean and well outfitted. Great Internet service and owner is readily available by phone for any questions. We love sleeping on the lanai. But there is a Murphy bed indoors to which is very comfortable. There is great bus service half a block away for easy access to downtown and malls. We highly recommend staying here. The views are phenomenal!!
I have been going to Hawaii for years and to Honolulu many times and this was the absolute best experience and so reasonably priced. The view from the lanai is so beautiful, you can't believe it is real. We saw the fireworks on July 4th and it was fantastic.
The condo unit has everything you could possibly want..... on the most beautiful beach, yet by the park which means it is quieter and more private. Diamond Head is steps from the entrance of the property. Waikiki is a short walk for water sports, surfing, restaurants and nightlife. You are next door to my favorite restaurant in the world, Michelle's, and on the other side a more casual restaurant for an excellent breakfast, lunch or dinner.
The unit is well maintained, spotless and very comfortable, exactly like, if not better than the pictures. I visited with my two teenagers and it was perfect with a lovely zoo and aquarium within minutes Bus service was nearby and the shopping was convenient.
I hope to return often and will always check here first.
I have stayed for a full month in oct. and I'm looking forward to my fourth year.i agree with all that carol said! All the provisions are first class. It is perfect for two or three and better accommodations can't be found. There are always activities at the park across the street for viewing or joining. The city bus accommodations within a short walk will take you anywhere on the island. Just call "da bus"!for planning help. You are in a spot to view the "locals" with their family's nd just a short walk to waikiki. An evening walk will reveal local dance displays under the island moon and tropical breezes and don't forget relaxing on the lanai on weekends to watch the firework displays from down the beach.
This condo offers all that we needed and more. The location is perfect for scenic beauty, walking, beach activities, bus transportaion and a conveniently located mini mart just outside the gate. The unit is very clean, well appointed and has everything we needed. You can almost reach out and touch Diamond Head from the front door, as you look down on a grassy beautiful park. The view from the lani includes a scenic panorama of the Waikiki skyline which showcases the Friday night fireworks. Gorgeous unobstructed sunsets every evening. The beach is family oriented and seldom overcrowded. You step directly from the building thru the security gate onto the beach. We LOVE this getaway condo!
