We are a family that loves to travel, meet new people and see new things. We love our home and our city and enjoy sharing both with visitors. Anyone can have a generic hotel experience, but this is an opportunity to experience the city on a more personal level. We are always available to offer suggestions on things to do, etc. Having rented from VRBO ourselves, we understand what it takes to offer a unique property and look forward to hosting you.
The Owner purchased this cottage in 2006
Some of the comments we've received have been how tranquil and relaxing it is to unwind in our guest house. The gardens are in bloom year-round and depending on the season, the display of flowers varies. Whatever time of year, it is a special place to be. When you're ready to explore, there are many big city cultural attractions nearby.
Thanks again for everything--we really enjoyed our stay in Indy and loved
the cottage! I'm just sorry we did not have more time to visit and get to
know you and your family, it was a pretty intense basketball weekend---and
one that ended with a championship for the good guys in green and white!
What a wonderful way to cap off our first ever tournament experience, it
certainly made the weekend worthwhile. Everyone at the arena was so nice
and so helpful and we just really enjoyed ourselves.
You have a wonderful oasis and it was just perfect for us, you have
thought of everything to make your guests comfortable.
We will certainly recommend you to anyone we know that is headed to Indy
and we hope to see you again!
Thanks so much,
Eric & Sharai
We were so delighted to find that our Indy Cottage was all that it was described to be and more. We were greeted by our host family upon arrival and they attended to our every need during our month long stay. Privacy and quiet of our own little cottage was ideal. Location was perfect for frequent visits to family on both the west and east sides of town and seasonal Indianapolis arts programs. We enjoyed easy access to Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra's Yuletide performance at Circle Theatre, great shopping centers in Indianapolis North, nearby restaurants and outings with the Indianapolis Hiking Club. The ambiance of the setting and the attentiveness of our hosts helped make it a month to remember. We look forward to returning and have already recommended the Cottage to friends.
Came in from Salt Lake and couldn't ask for more! Met Steve, very cordial and friendly. Was there if anything was needed. Extremely comfortable, highly recommend and come back again.
This charming cottage is the perfect starting point for visiting the Indianapolis area. It's peaceful and quiet location are only twenty minutes from downtown and a world away in it's setting. You will enjoy magnificent trees, glorious flowers and song birds. A good night's sleep is practically guaranteed!
Claudia and Steve are thoughtful hosts; professional to make arrangements and quick to respond to their guests' needs. They designed the cottage for their own family and have carefully thought out what a guest might need; open kitchen and living room, spacious bedroom and bath and a charming, private patio. The photos certainly accurately depict the cottage.
We visited the Children's Museum for the Chinese Terra Cotta Warriors exhibit and were wowed. The Indianapolis Museum of Art was also a spectacular choice. As Chicagoans, we have visited many fine museums and these two are not to be missed.
We found the food scene to be lively and fun and would recommend the Plow and Anchor for dinner, Shoofly for a lively lunch and Tulip Noir for breakfast. The St. Elmo restaurant is an Indy classic for a steak dinner.
I promise you will enjoy your stay at the cottage and whether it's for the "500" a basketball tournament or the museums you won't be wrong to book this cottage.
We rented this cottage during our winter holiday and it was a comfortable and affordable option compared to staying in a hotel. The location is perfect for getting anywhere in the Indy area and is just minutes away from I-465 and 20 min. from downtown. The hospitality of the family renting the cottage was wonderful!! It's nestled in a quiet neighborhood with privacy and comfort. We are looking forward to our next stay there when we are in the Indy area!!
This is a beautiful little cottage and the owners were wonderful to work with through our entire stay! The reservation process was very easy, as well as checking in/out. The cottage was extremely clean and well-stocked! We were pleasantly surprised to find an electric skillet in the efficiency kitchen to prepare breakfast in the morning! The landscaping around the cottage is beautiful and the location is very private. We would definitely recommend this property to our family and friends!
We booked the cottage as we were travelling to Indiana to visit friends and wanted an alternative to multiple nights in a hotel. What a find! The cottage was spacious and so quiet and comfortable. The location was conveniently close to all the main routes and yet felt somehow detached from the hustle and bustle of city life. Claudia and Steve made us very welcome. We would certainly stay again if we are back in the area. Thanks!
