Our townhome is about 50 yards to the Whales Tail Restaurant, which is perfect for breakfast, lunch or dinner! They have an open air bar on the beach side where you can walk up in your swimsuit and flip flops to get your favorite summer drink! (They also have restrooms that you can access in swimsuit and flip flops too!)

Paul and Sheri currently reside in Nashville, TN and love taking trips to the beach! Paul is originally from Richmond, VA and moved to Nashville to attend college at David Lipscomb University. Sheri is originally from Plymouth, WI and moved to Nashville after college at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. The two met through mutual friends and were married in October 2009 on the beach in Destin! Needless to say, Destin is a very special place for them! This condo is absolutely beautiful and the location is awesome, literally steps to the beach. Very well equipped. Also, loved the Whales Tail across the street, good place to grab a bite if you don't feel like getting in the car and the traffic. The owners were very nice to deal with. Great experience!
I've stayed at a many beach homes, but this condo is the perfect location for family fun and relaxation. My family and I enjoyed ourselves and every amenity available and offered to us. With access to 5 swimming pools, golfing, boardwalking and the beach; there is no time to be bored. A beautiful and very comfortable home I must say. I personally stayed in bed all day one day (sent my family to the beach) to enjoy the comfort of the bed. YES I DID---LOL!!!!! We shall return for another 'Seascape Experience'. BY FAR THE BEST!!!!!
This condo is beautiful and the location cannot be beat! I'm guessing it's one of the only condos in Seascape where you can see the ocean from the front door. Driving wise it is equally conveninet to the front and back gates. The walk to the beach is nothing, even with all the beach toys, chairs, kids, etc. The pool is 10 yards from the front door. There are 2 screened in porches that overlook the lake and you can also see it from the side kitchen window so it's basically water views in all directions.
We stayed as a family of 4 (children ages 2 and 5) with 2 additional adults and had plenty of room for everyone to sleep comfortably. The third bedroom has a pull-out trundle which was a nice surprise as our little ones each had their own matress. We also appreciated that the kids' room and the master had a shared bath so they did not disturb the rest of our guests when waking us up each morning. Speaking of matresses (which I usually don't), the beds were so comfortable that my husband took the sheets off to find out who made the matress!
Everything in this condo is new and sparkling clean true to the photos. We have stayed in many Seascape condos over the years and while they have all been fine, some have that "retired in Florida" vibe that leave you wanting just a bit more. This is NOT one of those condos. I would describe it as a luxury condo without the luxury price. Modern and well maintained. (Also, no big glass seahorses or pelican sculptures for the kids to break.)
The condo is also better stocked than most including all necessary cooking utensils, dishes, and pots and pans. There is a toaster oven and a blender and the ever elusive corkscrew that always goes missing on vacation. We found dish soap, paper towels, toilet paper, plastic wrap, aluminum foil, sandwich baggies and an assortment of spices that seemed intentional, not just left overs from the last guests. The hall closets had some beach accessories like chairs, a boogie board, and an extra cooler--all in clean, working order. There is a "junk drawer" that despite the name had no junk in it but lots of useful thnings like decks of cards, matches, etc.
The owners have also compiled a very organized binder with restaurant recommendation based on formality, price, and cuisine and other useful information about the area. You can tell that they love their condo and their guests as they've made this place much more of a home than a rental.
We recently stayed at this unit for a week. We were 4 adults and 2 infants. It was perfect for us on many levels - space, location, amenities, etc. You are literally steps from a beautiful beach and having the Whale's Tail there is very convenient. There are a number of pools at the complex you can use. The golf course is handy and there are others that are very close, and found all to be good value. The finishes in the unit are over and above what you typically find in this type of unit. You can walk to a number of things such that you don't need to get in a car ever if you don't want to. A great deal. And Sheri was a pleasure to deal with through the entire process. Thanks very much. If we go back to the Destin area we won't need to look further than here.
We loved Paul and Sheri's condo at Seascape. Perfect location. This condo is super comfortable for 4-5 people. Very roomy. Master suite is huge and has its own balcony. Great kitchen. Comfy beds. Clean and new appliances and furniture. Short walk to the beach. WiFi connection. Pools and tennis courts on property are really nice and well maintained.
There are at least 4 great golf courses in easy driving distance, including one on the property within walking distance. Seascape's golf course has good twilight rates. Condo is located very close to Sandestin resort, whose golf courses are top notch. Condo is very close to good restaurants and shopping.
Highly recommended. What you get for the price is a great bargain - way better than staying at a hotel.
What a wonderful place to vacation! You have it all right there - you don't need to ever get in your car again until you leave if you don't want to. Everything was accessible - the beach, great walking access (bike & walking area plus the boardwalk along the ocean side), eating at the Whale Tail across the street, swimming in the pool and golfing. Hope to golf next time I get down. And what a nice,relaxing view of the lake from your screened in-porch! Great shopping across the main entrance too, but we didn't do much of that this trip - not that much time!! Can't wait to go again!!!!
